Resist heavy mastery causing parry

Hey, I don't really use the resist heavy mastery (not even really sure of the name of it), but is it supposed to be able to apply a parry to a heavy attack and interrupt the rest of the heavy?

    Stand Your Ground.
And I would assume that YES it can, but ONLY if you had applied the same timing to the block against that Heavy attack as you would do normally against Combo starting attacks.

Although my timing if I’m ever caught off guard by a Heavy is because I’m already in blocking stance, so haven't really seen a Heavy Parry Stun that I can recall.

But an AW opponent (because of the randomness of the AI controlling the defender) might parry you sometimes if you go to Heavy them (without them already being stunned or already in block mode).

Is stand your ground valuable guys?? because my alliance mates say it's only worth it if you can put three points in it, otherwise not worth the trouble
While another guy claims that it's saved him countless revives

it's useless when you get better because you don't even block anymore. I only parry and avoid heavy attacks

True, I think it's a waste of mastery points

if unlock willpower you have 5 spare points that are basicly not that usefull that need to go somewhere in the def tree.

There are 3 opions (somewhat good) for that:

    1. 5 points into greater Vita (total points
    now 6)
That helps to counter a bit of HP loss
from Glass Cannon and increase your
total HP so you heal a bit more from
    Willpower

    2. 5 points into Energy/ Physical
Resistance. Its almost the same as
greater Vita. Small difference to 1.

    3. 1 point in Perfect Block and 4 points in
Stand your Ground. Might happen that
you dont react fast enough vs fast
heavys like vs Punisher or Venom. It
    might safe you then.

I’ve experienced this multiple times but I think it only happens on multi hit heavy attacks.

So a heavy attack, like Punisher for example, doesn’t trigger parry, but someone like CAIW does.

I’ve never looked into it too much- only had it happen to me in arena fights, so I might be completely wrong here.

The thing is that with that mastery you are able to BLOCK heavy attacks, it's a chance but still, if you happen to parry and the odds say that you are blocking the heavy attack, then you stone the opponent.
