The Punisher 2099 Buff is AWESOME

He's likely going to be my first r2 6 star. He deals a ton of damage and has a nice 90% power lock, a potent armor break, decent regen, and heal block. I also love his animations.

I'd say he slots in the God Tier, along with champions like Darkhawk and Doctor Octopus.

He’s terrible. I have no idea wha you seeing, or asking about. I won’t even use in arena.

i have no basis to compare to because i never played with him before ... BUT what should i look for in terms of judging the changes?

I agree! If "tune ups" are the smallest of the buffs, then this bodes very well moving forward. Theoretically Gambit and Falcon's buffs should potentially be even more extensive.

I think the P2099 buff was pretty decent and a good tuneup, but never dare ever again put P2099 on the same level as magik. Magik’s power control is beyond fathomable. Referring to P2099 as superior is significantly downplaying the queen of limbo herself. For your own safety I advise you never to speak of P2099’s power control as being magik level ever again.

Punisher 2099's power control is similar to Magik's tho... He's spot on...

I have found that I can only get a 2nd armor break on the opponent with the Red Skull synergy. But since Red Skull is a bad champion and someone you don't want to use typically, the playstyle you mentioned is the most realistic. I was hitting some really nice yellow numbers.

Test out the damage in overdrive mode and with an armor break on the opponent, the power control, and how effectively you can keep his battery going. If you have any questions, come back here and I can help you. @DeaconVelvet

My 5* r3 colossus does more damage.

Between my 5* and six stars. I have over. 50 champs I would play before punisher 2099.

yeah they're some of the highest damage champs in the game and some of the best mutants. I don't know what to say if you expect every buff to create a champ that's top 3 in their class

Sorry if you expect every new champion/buffed champion to be crazy OP. Punisher 2099 got a great tune up and I'm very happy about it. He's not nearly terrible in the slightest. His damage is amazing now in overdrive mode with an armor break on the opponent (don't let the hit counter deceive you) and he has an insane 90% power lock.

Why are you even comparing him to Colossus and Archangel???? Colossus and Archangel are at the absolute TOP of the mutant class and frankly all classes, so just because one champion isn't up to their level, they're "terrible"?? Blade has much less damage than Colossus, Archangel, and Punisher 2099 yet he's not considered "terrible". If you think Punisher 2099 is trash, then again that's up to you, but he is not trash in the slightest. I recommend you test him some more because a lot of people are realizing the true power of Punisher 2099 after his tune-up. He's not some OP game breaking champ, but he is a damn good one. Not nearly a miss by Kabam.

Spot on. Colossus is one of the hardest hitters in the entire game. Comparing Colossus's damage to other champions is deceiving just because of how hard he hits. It is unfair to compare one's damage to Colossus as he hits so fricking hard. He hits harder than 95% (if not even more) of the champions in the game.

100% agree. Not every champion is going to be the next Ghost, Quake, Doctor Doom, etc. There's a different between an OP champ and a trash champ. Punisher 2099 went from a trash champion to an above average and most importantly usable champion. That's a successful tune-up in my eyes.

With the Reed Richard's pre fight can he pseudo power lock the opponent? Don't have him in any rarity so can't test it.
