The only reason why people are hating the offers is because theyre comparing them to July 4th offers, if July 4th offers didn't exist then poeple whould be loving these offers

People are comparing them to tb offers who are getting the ability to add to their stacked 6* r3 rosters while some cav players spend as much or have dozens of 6s with no matching catalyst or even worse a formed t5cc and only Deadpool xforce to rank..

    Maybe that’s the problem

Completely incorrect. The reason people are hating on these offers is because they've reach a place in the game where the offers are redundant and unnecessary.
Actually, the OP is not far off. It's been a common perspective for years. People take the "best deal" i.e. lowest price seen, and call that the absolute value. "Why would I spend regular price? You offered it for X at half price.". A rare Sale is not a norm.

Sure, it's disappointing and many people had got their hopes up but, that's life, you don't always get what you want.

Disappointment is a good life lesson, you will have other disappointments. Hopefully, you can manage it better next time.

I mean is it too much to ask when people are willing to fork over the costs of a ps5 in a sitting in a mobile game? That they don’t mess it up entirely?

Kabam did a hit and a miss this year. The introduction of Thronebreaker, the beginning of a new era. We could tell you guys were excited to introduce this title, but severely cutting back Cav offers and making TB deals spicy won’t help us get to TB any faster.

    BUUUUUUUT
at the same time thats natural human behavior 101.
Realistically. People hate them because cavs already have 5 and 6 stars... they want to rank up the 6 star so they can progress.... its a deal that gives them more of what they dont ultimately need where it matters

Unfortunately, I may have to agree with this. If the intention was to motivate people, I think it's backfired in this case. Although I can't help but acknowledge this is the first real incentive TB has been given. Up until now, monthly percs have been accessible to Cavs. Still, you have a point.

The lack of T5CCs might be the catalyst, pardon the pun, but that's just something that happens. If I hear Gwenpool Goes to the Movies one more time.....LMAO.
People develop the expectation when things are too sweet.

Also @Kabam Miike has constantly said that Thronebreakers are supposed to be the endgame players, by endgame player they mean people who have 100% act6 beaten the abyss etc. By just doing one of those you get a fully formed T5CC, Thronebreakers isn't the thing that people should be rushing for. So the Thronebreaker offers are just as good as they're supposed to be.( note this is just for some people that thought it was unfair that Cavalier players offers didn't give the items nessacary for TB

Not only are the cash offers for cavalier underwhelming, the unit offers are awful for F2P players. Disappointment would be an understatement. Why on earth would cavalier players want t4bc as part of the 1000 unit deal? I already have 10 in overflow.

It's part of the first Offer only. Which you still use them to Rank Champs.
The fact that you need to buy an offer that isn’t worth it to unlock the next deal is bs. Compare this with the 4th of July deals earlier this year, this is awful. And I’ve already mentioned that I have over 10 overflowing so I would have already ranked up champs if I wanted to.
You might, others might not. To the best of my knowledge, no one has outgrown T4CCs. At the very least, you need them to R2 a 6*.
I said T4BC not T4CC. The offers are worse than 4th of July deals period.
I don't know why people keep comparing them to the 4th of July deals. They have nothing to do with each other. The game would be in a sad state of affairs if they constantly had to do more every Offer. The bottom line is, you have a great deal of Resources that are offered this weekend which aren't normally offered for the price they are, regardless of what they gave before or what people think of them.
I'm not ignorant. I get that people are disappointed with them. Anyone with reading capabilities could see that. I'm also aware that it will affect the outcome of sales after this. I get it. I'm just not comparing it to anything else. These Offers are stand-alone.
Realistically, some people expected more towards TB. I understand that. Some even thought they'd be hitting TB with the Offers and scooping up more. A nice idea, but not a reasonable thing to assume. I'm speaking from experience. Anytime I let the hamster run and start building expectations, I end up setting myself up for disappointment because things rarely line up when they pan out. Which is why I've adopted a wait-and-see approach.
I just don't think catastrophizing and making claims of a slap in the face, or the myriad of other exaggerations are really appropriate to the situation. When people are saying it's their fault that their expectations weren't met, that's not really true. No one knew anything about what was coming. People filled in the blanks in their own minds.
I can understand that people wanted more, but I have to point out when these expectations aren't reasonable. I don't think it's reasonable for the game to know exactly what each of us need personally, and I don't think it's reasonable to think everyone that's Cav would get the Cat they needed to hit TB in one day.
I don’t know why you’re trying to change my mind. The deal may be ‘great’ to you but to me it isn’t. I’m not saying that every-time there’s an offer it has to be exactly the same as the previous, at-least make it reasonable is what I’m asking.

Based on the past deals/ offers, you’d somewhat get a decent idea around what they’ll be offering so how would it be unreasonable for me to assume. I’m just stating that the offers are very underwhelming especially for beginner cavalier players and those who really need that push to get those t5cc fragments to get them to TB.

    Agreed.
    BUT
Its only something that happens when you offer people something that that theu dont need or doesnt bring them as much "VALUE"
    AND
Combined with the fact it costs kabam virtually nothing to manufacture other than server space it becomes a slap in the face with naturally high expectations.

I’m not saying those Cav offers aren’t trash, but what can they do about it now?

They’ve already been dropped and I’m sure people have bought them.

    I’ve beaten Abyss.

I was rewarded with a T5CC for a bunch of trash champs.

So I’m supposed to R3 War Machine so I can get better deals? Lol.
    Personally i would do it

Garbage offers for Cav and we’ve seen these letdowns over the years so no one should be shocked. Save your money and your units

Pretty sure people need everything in the Unit Offer. They might not need the T4B/C immediately, but Shards, Nexus Crystals, Awakening Gems...all useful. What they didn't include was the one thing people wanted. There's a difference.
  • OGAvengerOGAvenger Member Posts: 1,159 ★★★★★
They’d have to take the time to refund Cav players their units/money, but they’d also have to take away everything those players received including crystal pulls, rank up resources, gold, gems, etc.

It would be an absolute nightmare.

I know these offers deserved to be much more than they are. I’m not trying to deny that by any means. I just can’t see any good way of going back and changing these deals

Is there a recourse here? We've all expressed how we've felt for 18 pages so far. Does anybody think Kabam will renege on their statement that these offers will not be changed and now send out updated offers?!

That’s like saying it’s reasonable to be offered a premium hero crystal rather than a 4 star hero crystal because “you can’t look at its value based on what’s been offered before”. That’s what it feels like.
