How will 6*s be introduced in October

Just wondering what everyone thinks, my guess is a new difficulty in the event quests for uncollected players, which will be ruthless and have 6* champs.
Another possibility is a spin off mode like Rifts, Racoon Workshop, but if it is for that, then they would need a new one every month which I can't see happening.
Anyway just wondering what everyone else's take on it is?

I never even thought of that, yes let's just ignore my ideas. Although I am still wanting my ideas haha
Oh I'm all for your ideas! Just trying to remember that Kabam will Kabam.
My guess is they will start gradually. Where you currently see 4/55 and higher 5* champs you will start to see lower ranked (roughly equal difficulty) 6* champs. In special content like Rifts or events like Rocket's Workshop they will probably start introducing them. And at some point I think you will first start seeing them as bosses at the highest difficulty of some content.
I doubt we will see loads of them or special content just to contain them until at least next year.
Why. Why do you want 5* champions in the first place? To have "the best?" If that's so, then yes, if you are a beginner and you are only playing the game because you want to have the best things in the game and you aren't currently competitive, then yes, the game is probably pointless to you.
I grind for 5* champions because they help me run content. They make me better able to help my alliance against alliance foes of comparable progress level to your alliance. They help me progress my alliance to higher AQ tiers. 5* champions are exactly as valuable to me now as they will be in 6* champions arrive. 6* champions do not make anything "pointless" to me.
But to be frank, if I was starting to play the game today, things would be so much easier than they were when I first started. I've been playing for two years, and if I started today my progress level in two years would be so much higher than it is now. It is so much easier to progress than it used to be. And you don't realize that 5* champions *are* easier to get. It is easier for me to earn a 5* champion today than it was for me to earn a 4* champion when I first started. Arenas didn't used to award 5* shards. Calendars didn't hand out 5* shards. Monthly content is handing out twice the shards they used to. And 4* champions that award 5* shards on duping are also much easier to get now than before.
When I first started playing I had to catch up with the people playing for a year or more. I'm unlikely to ever fully catch up with them, but I was able to play my way into the top 10% or so. If I started today, I think I would take about the same amount of time to play myself into a similar position. If it looks pointless to you today, the game was probably always going to be pointless for you. You'd probably have been complaining about joining two weeks after the game started and being unable to catch up with the people with half a month head start.
lol
Of course it's easier for you to get 5* because you're prolly in an alliance that grinds higher AQ maps with ease. And also better rewards for AW. It's easy for me to get 4* crystals now. Introduction on 6* will mean harder content which will hinder progression for the lower tier players. Where will they put them? I'm struggling now to finish master and if they implement into master mode then yes it hinders my progression even more without 5* being more accessible. Being a lower tier player means not only is it harder to get 5* but also the resources to rank them up. I'm not asking for 5* to be handed out, just to be easier yo come by like 4* are now.
Dumbed down for us guys? Seems still pretty hard to me lol. Easier for you because you now have the champs for it and have been playing for longer. Not everyone picks up evade and parry for each individual champ as quickly as you obviously did. Or perhaps you spent money on revives and heals when you first tried to go through it 7 months ago
When I joined the alliance I am in now I had a rating under 80k and the alliance was doing map 3 a couple times a week. That was all we could do. Today we are a 5x5 AQ. How do you suppose that happened?
When I first started grinding arena I could barely put a million points on the board. I had a handful of 4* champs. I was attempting to get the basic with mostly 3* champs. I went after the easy ones, and slowly built up a better 4* roster once I could get to the two million mark. Today I can grind out any basic I want and if it is a repeat I can shoot for featured champs if I really need them. That's how I duped my Starlord. How do you think that happened? How did I catch up with the people so far ahead of me initially?
Introducing 6* champions is not going to hurt anyone's progress. They will just be a convenient target to blame. The devs have been cranking up difficulty over time as the average player gets stronger. They have just been doing it with node buffs. Look at Act 5. No 6* champs anywhere. If the devs want to make things difficult, they make them difficult. 6* champions are a god send for lower players. Because if they make content like the Collector with 5* champions and 6* champions never arrive, you will never be able to outlevel the Collector. You are capped by the maximum performance of 5* champions. And what is more, you are only getting the 5* champions you are getting because the devs have been slowly increasing the availability of 5* fragments in preparation for 6* champions to be released. If 6* champions were not coming, 5* champions would continue to be the hardest, most difficult pursuit goals for top players to chase after. They would be much harder to get. You'd be stuck trying to beat the Collector with 4* champs.
You are mistaken if you think you were "catching up" to the top players. You think you are only because you are counting the 5* acceleration that only exists because 6* champions are coming which you would never have gotten if 6* champions were not coming. Without them, the top players would be the only ones with significant 5* rosters.
If you actually believe that Kabam or any other MMO would simply halt progress and allow the top players to run into a progress wall and allow newer players to simply catch up to them while those players were paralyzed unable to move forward you do not understand how progressional games work. You are getting 5* champs and the ability to "catch up" only because the top players are getting 6* champions and the ability to move beyond them.
And as long as the top players are given something new to chase - something many of them don't consider to be an "advantage" - and the middle tier players are allowed to accelerate towards where they were and the bottom tier players are handed out rewards that the middle tier was fighting over themselves, players will continue to progress forward in a ladder upward. That is to the advantage of newer players over older ones, because they are allowed to have for nothing what the older players took a lot of time and money to acquire. And those players will now have to spend a lot more time and money to start competing with each other again for the top tier performance. What they have now, we will get for a huge discount.
This is like MMO 101. Players that don't recognize this and get frustrated over "being left behind" tend to quit, and honestly although I try to explain things to them in every game I've ever played, my success percentage is not high. But you cannot help everyone.
I've never spent money on any quest, only on deals. You can run master event quests with r4 4*s man. It takes skill at your level, of course with op r5+ champs it's easier, but this is good practice for you folks. Friend does his master event quest every month with his r4 4*s and he's not crazily skilled himself.
Yer I have no r4 4* yet and adding 6* into master like someone previously said would totally put master out of reach if they don't make 5* more accessible.
That sucks for you sadly, they can't keep lowering the difficulty for it. It's called master for a reason, you know?
Wow. You've gone off on your own little rant haven't you. Where did I say that I was catching the top tier players??? Or even gaining on them?? And when did I say that adding 6* was a bad thing? Pretty sure all I said was I hope they increase rewards for 5* champs in arena lol. You may carry on.....
You are getting ahead of yourself if you haven't ranked a 4/40 yet and trying to do master. Just be patient, if you can.
No, I'm verbose.
That's a reasonable assumption based on your assertion that your progress is going to be impaired. There's only two kinds of progress. Progress against the content, and progress relative to everyone else. You can't have progress against the content impaired, because content doesn't get harder with the introduction of new champions. Content isn't retroactively adjusted most of the time.
Oh, is that all you said. I thought you said:
Well, it won't. Relax.
And it won't be. As it stands the game is focussed on 5*. Content revolves around maxed out 5* which I understand many people have yet to achieve which makes me a long way off as it is. Adding of 6* without increasing the accessibility of 5* will make it too far out of reach. Perhaps the game has become too easy for you and you're welcoming the addition of 6* which is fair enough. But from down here it seems daunting to even contemplate. And I guess you're right in some aspects. Adding 6* without making 5* more accessible will make the game *not for me*
