Just a tip - Dont use her on Do not go gentle node. You'll start the the fight with 20 of those charges if you have banked your combo in the previous fight
In middle-long fights (30-50 hits), you can't use special attacks because you need to save your power for the SP3. That's for me the largest drawback, as it forces you to not rank-up G2099, as you will KO your opponent too fast.
So you complaining about fight being over to quickly ? lol isn’t this the point to finish as fast as you could? why do you need a 100+ combo if fights don’t last 30 ? lol.
Because you need her combo utility for the next fight like a mini or a boss.
Just because they both need high combos doesn’t mean they are the same. Both have extremely different abilities that scale with combo.
I have seen this mentioned quite often. But in terms of application, isn't Aegon more useful? Aegon works for Abyss (G2099 doesn't), both work for Labyrinth, and both work for Act 6 exploration.
There are some specific nodes that G2099 can do that Aegon can't, and vice versa (Eg. things that need no crit, things that need tenacity, etc), but that is looking more at niche fights.
So based on the content we have now, if you pull both Aegon and G2099 as combo meter champions, isn't Aegon the better pick as he covers more?
I just pulled G2099 from a Nexus and was taking her into TB EQ with the chapter that benefits tech champions with armor ups. She wasn't finishing fights faster for me than other tech champions, and seemed to end with less health even with Stability function activated (I am not inclined to intercept with her as I am anxious about losing the combo meter).
In the right hands she is probably amazing, but for an average player like myself, combo-meter champions are not my cup of tea.
I think she is one of the most overrated champions in the game. I had an opportunity to pull her or dupe my Ghost naturally and I remind you I already have a tech awakening gem and I chose ghost anyways. That's how I feel about G2099.

@Kill_Grey I remember a warlock vs g2099 that I wrote a long paragraph about why I didn’t like g2099. You’ve changed my opinion since then. I still don’t think she’s better than warlock but she’s at the top of the tech class.
So to respond to the og’s question I don’t think she’s overrated or underrated. Some people really like her, some people really hate her. She’s good and at the top of the tech class and the majority of the community agrees with that. The disagreements come with where she ranks compared to other good tech characters.
Just soloed ROL Winter Soldier, with my 3* rank 3, her damage is crazy and that healing and armor make her so substainable. I love both her and Warlock.

G2099 is an amazing champ! A lot of people are sleeping on her cos they don’t know how to properly use her. There’s no champ that fits all and she’s no exception. But overall, an excellent champ. The key is wining your first fight with an sp3, and that’s how it is with not just combo-champs but other ramp-up champs like Corvus as well, getting your first charge to make the second fight a lot easier.
After the first fight, you have the option to freely use her pre-fight for utility purposes and still be able to finish the fight with an sp3 (assuming it’s a proper fight, not a fight auto-fight can win or your PI way higher than opponent...you know what I mean).
Some champs are awesome and they require a leap of faith and proper understanding. Another example is Thing on offense (not talking about with Champion synergy).
One recommendation I’d suggest to the developer team if anyone ever reads: @Kabam Miike@Kabam Lyra@Kabam Porthos * In her next synergy, boost her pre-fight abilities especially the 1st and 3rd, Huntress and Assault. - Starting with Assault, give her the option to steal a % of power burnt from that pre-fight ability. That will give her further control of her power to finish the second fight also with an sp3 if the player so wishes as that seems to be the concern of some if not most: not being able to use other specials cos you have to save your sp3. It’s true she as defensive power gain, but that for defense purpose and doesn’t really benefit the attacker unless of course you wanna take block hits so you can get to an sp3. That doesn’t sound prudent at all.
- Regards the Huntress, 20th hit to be critical can be too far to access if you need those attacks. The synergy could shorten that number to say 10 or something.
- The 2nd pre-fight, Stability seems fine to me. Her sustainability is decent overall.
This just my thought, a synergy like this will be awesome for the character.

I had one at 5/65 and still took my 6* to R3 for the Thronebreaker title. She was amazing for this month’s boss rush style side quest. She requires a high level of skill, but once you get it down, she’s absolutely amazing. Great synergies with Warlock and Darkhawk as well.

The stability function isn't worth it imo. Only time I'd recommend it is if you aren't taking much chip damage or it's a very long match. You're better off with the higher armour rating and healing at 15%. Heavy at the start for the combo shields if you're anxious about losing the combo.

Her special attacks aren't needed, so I don't see how thats a drawback. If you play her right you shouldn't need special attacks at all as they really don't do much damage. She's not ghost or hyperion, they really don't do much except for some niche scenarios where the sp1 power drain is useful which doesn't happen much.

I like spamming sp1 nothing beats making the A.I reach 3 bars then spam sp1 to take away their chance to k.o you it may be sadistic but it's fun to see

Hey man, haven't seen you in ages.
Yea it's been a while. Had everything except abyss explored so I took a break, act 7 and v6 have drawn me back in.
I think she is one of the most overrated champions in the game. I had an opportunity to pull her or dupe my Ghost naturally and I remind you I already have a tech awakening gem and I chose ghost anyways. That's how I feel about G2099.
She's not for everyone, you do need to be able to keep a combo to use her properly.
Just because they both need high combos doesn’t mean they are the same. Both have extremely different abilities that scale with combo.

G2099 is far far better in AW than aegon. But other than that I agree aegon is much better overall in terms of the content he shreds thorough

What @Berjibs said. Not every fight is over 100 hits. Aegon is also a champion that is designed for longer fights, but you can still play him in shorter fights. It just takes more fights to ramp-up. By the time you reach the boss, he's pretty good.
