Stryfe is a characters who is designed to have just an unhinged amount of power, but still manages to fail and suck as a character. He’s part of that completely self indulgent clone/time travel junk that nearly sank the X-Men franchise. I mean, so his cable, but at least he was first.

As such he will have a synergy with cable that appears enormously powerful on paper, but somehow manages to have no impact on the game.

I know it's a public forum, I was generally baffled by the discussion at hand. There was a disconnect between the thread and the replies.

Cable will most definitely get a synergy with Stryfe, but I doubt it would be anything groundbreaking. Mutants are already stacked and with the addition of Jubilee and Stryfe who may even be insane themselves, I think it's too much. Maybe a small change to his degen or something but I don't see anything more than that.
Here's to hoping Jubilee kicks ass!

Lol. And he actually undermines the interest in cable in someways, as cable was always this vastly powerful character that was held back by this unbeatable disease. There was always that implication of how powerful he could be. And then this guy comes along who is exactly that powerful and it’s just pretty boring. It’s like giving away the trick at a magic show, just leave the mystery in place.

Cable is pretty good with that Apocalypse synergy so I don't see how they can make him any better without breaking the mutant class. Then again, AA got more ability acccuracy and can even pause neurotoxins now. I think they should just give cable a power drain on the sp1 maybe through a synergy or a small power drain on gun attacks.
