Building a game is not easy. Especially a game like this one, where content has been added and modified for over 6 years now. If they ever wanted to build a Contest of Champions game from scratch it would be for nothing less than a console release.

I’m pretty sure they can do it. If they can make a BETA test server then they can make another server that copy the original server in-game code and recode it and run multiple test if it’s working or not. Copy and paste it back to original server. But still? I don’t think they want to do that because it’s an money question.

    What use will copy-pasting do?

No idea. Just an simple idea to copy and paste and record from day 1 while ironing out bugs and then put it back again. I’m no genius with game code so not good to find an explanation

    Just revert to pre-October 2020 update ...

It went from pretty stable to extremely unstable game ... from on odd crash in months to crashing multiple times daily ... we get used to things and I see many people have gotten used to crashing now ..

If they want to do what OP is suggesting they would literally have to rewrite it from scratch. Copying it and fixing bugs is what the updates do already.

Reverting back to that update would mean that we lose all the champs that were released between then and now. Any other player facing changes would also be lost.

Is that something you're willing to lose?

I miss the state of the game just one year back. There was no freezing, no frame sluggishness, etc...

I remember the game was unplayable in I believe June of 2018, my phone would overheat and require me to restart it after about 45 minutes to an hour of playing.

Even if you wanted a response from Kabam Mods, they'd do exactly what we're all doing right now.
Sit there and have a good laugh, shake their heads, and get back to work.

.. that wasn't meant to be taken literally. Surely they could look at pre-October build ad compare it to today's build and see wtf went wrong???

Because whatever it is, it is not working.
