It's such a skill based fight It's very difficult to advise on units required. It goes anywhere from one sho to 500+ units.

    insightful...

I usually think of the grandmaster fight as fun because of like his sp 1 and those challenges that you have to complete it is not. like a boss fight that is hard, it is more of a fun 1. so it can go as far as 1 shot or 500 units as @IKON says

Alrighty. Do you know any paths that are "easy"?

I recently finished GM on my alt, I took the top right path, all cosmics, as it's an easy path, but shortening the GM wounded state is a pain.

i think you should just go ahead and complete the path now and try to at least get a feel on how the fight works. getting a one-shot for a first try would be very impressive but unlikely. just use up all of your units first. if you need more, now would be the right time as you can grind from current arena and the next round of arena is quite close if you need more

When I did completion, I took the cosmics path and used Aegon for GM. Used like 5-6 revives in my stash and had to buy 1 with units. The fight isn’t hard, but even after watching some vids, it just took a few tries to get the hang of it. For me anyway

I did the cosmic path. It's very simple I would recommend that path to you.
Units you should grind more than 500.

I think my initial clear only took 200(?) units of revives? Idk. It’s really not that bad, the paths going to the GM are harder than him.

I spent 700 units on him. Mostly because I screwed up his special 1 a couple times and forgot he’s unblockable at the start if you’re under a certain health percentage. I brought prof x for the reverse control section and it was a unit saver. He had way less damage than Aegon, but I could go through multiple wounded phases without worrying about the reverse controls.

I took him down last night and used aroukd 120-130 4h crystals and due to the lack of Revives out of them i needed another 3.
for the whole fight i needed 6 or 7
But i tried to learn him on the fly but it wasn‘t that bad after i found my rhytm and got calmer
To watch some footage helped, but to fight him on your own phone is a whole different story :D

Is Magneto immune to reverse controls from GM as well?

Emma with Mysterio synergy is also immune to reverse controls

The fight just takes getting used to. No real estimate because it's skill-based but I'd say minimum 400 so you have time to get used to it.

    Zero research maybe 800 units
    Watch a couple videos 400-500units
2nd attempt 300 units, there's really no substitute for experience with this fight.

If you aren't prepared for reverse control then 800+ otherwise less than 800 units,(it's my rough assumption by seeing your rosters & progress)

If you can take that life cycle (to block his sp1) path then you can save many units because most of the kills comes from GM's sp3 (5 blunder tokens). struck by unblockable sp1 will give you 3 of these

You can also save many resources because you have aegon one of the best option for him, crits or big damage in GM's wounded state (~6 second window) is the key, bwcv is also good

My counter to reverse control is Emma + Mysterio
