we don't need high end graphics to play a mobile game. the graphics were fine when it was on android 4.4 this is a mobile game & not a console. when the decided they had to upgrade the graphics they forgot about having a functioning game. we don't need to see Mr.fantastic become a wacky waving inflatable tube guy when stunned, we don't need to see cosmic ghost rider head spin when stunned, we don't need to see us going to the astral plane before every prof.x fight, we don't need a character that will cause seizures every time he does a sp.1, we don't need moving backgrounds if they're not interactive like in injustice or mortal kombat. it looks cool but they are part of what's causing the problems. function over flash.
i think they don't bother testing the game after they make it on their computers & if they do it's only on personal devices that the employees have which are probably iphones & maybe a samsung or 2. they should stop producing new content every month if every month introduces new bugs. make updates every month & a 1/2 to 2 months. it would give them more time to actually test the product out multiple time on every device they say it runs on, find the bugs & fix them before releasing it to the public.
Ironically, Marvel might be part of the problem here. Whoever manages the product on the Marvel side most likely lacks the expertise needed to understand the core connectivity issues and thus underappreciates them. They want to woo new users to join by means of high end graphics and content. What Marvel probably does not get is that most players are attached to the game not because of graphics. Most players probably could not care less about graphics and click on skip the dialogue. It might be Marvel who pushes Kabam to have unrealistic release schedule. And Kabam just might not have enough clout to push back or they might be bound by contractual obligations. And aggressive release schedule for new content inevitably causes bugs here and there just because game logics are so complex and it is a challenge to keep track of these logics even on paper, forget about the proper programming. The spaghetti code is probably a mess, the connectivity hardware and software are probably outdated and Kabam does not even have resources to effectively deal with these problems. This is all understood and no one should blame Kabam for that. They do what they can under the circumstances. But on the other side, they did develop a somewhat acceptable patch to deal with connectivity issues - the fight recovery mechanism. The problem is they don't deploy it in the case of AW and AQ where it would actually matter most for affected players. I think we should petition Kabam to deploy their fight recovery mechanism more broadly in the game and deal with what they perceive as abusive and cheating behavior by other means. It is bad enough when game disconnects every minute while doing event quests but it totally sucks when one is responsible for clearing a path in AQ or AW and alliance waits for one to clear a linked node and the game keeps munching on champs' health in the name of fighting with abuse. I was about ready to uninstall the game. Also, it will be helpful to players if Kabam can publish intraday server load stats. I suspect when Asia starts playing it just clogs the servers. One thing I know for sure is that unless one fixes the plumbing one will have to constantly deal with overflow problems.

Agree, but try telling that to the contingent up here that believe that is the only reason people play the game.
Most of the time I could not even tell you afterwards which Fight Scene Location the fight was even happening in once the fight was over. You’re focused on the actual 2 champs, not what's going on in the background.
Years ago I had advocated for them to change to “Static / 2D” background scenes that would just pan left/right as the champs moved left/right, but don’t need to be a “3D Perspective” (which actually causes a couple of those Blocked Camera views occasionally in a couple fight locations), and to also get rid of the moving background objects.
MCOC is just badly optimized. Sure it has a lot of good graphics but the optimization ranges from horrible to non-existent. I play CODM and the difference when I switch from MCOC is unbelievable. Faster loading times, zero loading screens unless I'm entering a game, no "no connection sign" ever. Everything feels buttery smooth and you can even play it on 2GB RAM if you stick to low graphic settings. I think it's because CODM is a recent game where the devs actually bother with optimization.
