I agree, I really need glory, and our alliance only gets through AQ about 50% percent of the time, but if we could set a specific time we would definitely be able to get through it more often.

This idea sounds great for us a players. But I bet AW with a multitude of different start times would be a logistics nightmare. Matchmaking would be ridiculously slow, I'd imagine.

It was good as I hate 5am kick-off especially on weekends but unfortunately some ruin it for all. There was a wave of big dogs staggering their start so they wouldn't fight each other. Kabam tried a fix then it was taking so many hours to match make some allainces couldn't get 3 wars in. They were falling in ranks purely because it couldn't match make in time for 3 wars over the week. So here we are stuck with a fixed time. Which really sucks where I live as if we don't complete aq or aw 8 hrs before the end you can't unless you wake up early just for this.

There's some false info here. No one has ever been able to choose when the start of AW is. What was happening was someone figured out in the high tiers, how to manipulate matchmaking leading to ally's working together to know when they are starting their match search so they could either not match with them or try and match a certain ally. The failing to find a match had to do with the wider parameters that existed before the new system and when people started looking for a match.

All wars have always started at the same time. In the past, as soon as you had a match, you could place. Now there is a 4 hour match making window and you can place after finding a match and the window is over. The actual war start is still the same.

They do AQ and AW like this for a reason. It's easier to tabulate results and data when it all ends at the same time. Easier to get rewards out as well. It will likely never change.

You could too choose. You choose when to start your match making. When match was found that is when aw start time was. As I had aw start time in my allaince at about 8am as that suited us. At that stage I wanted more and moved to omega fight whose start time was 10am my time as they started later for whatever reason as I didn't ask I just played.

Yes you could start match making within 24 hrs. AW has always been 24 hrs to match and place. 24 hrs to fight. In the old system you could start matching at any point in that 24 hrs but risk not getting a match when done late. but the actual start time of the war has always been the same for everyone regardless.

AW start if I'm remembering correctly, used to also be by time zone or regions of the ally leader. Which is a reason rewards took longer because they had to wait until all wars were done before issuing them. But no one has ever been able to choose a start time for AW.

Impossible as my start playing time was different. 2 hrs in fact on average. Not the matchmaking time but actual playing time. It wasn't long after I left omega (due to health concerns) that changed and all started at the same time regardless. Which annoyed me because daylights savings dependant (as none here) aw ends at 4 or 5 am which annoyed the **** out of me.

See the edit I made above. Start times were staggered by regions or something but no one could choose the Attack start time.

AQ could easily be done if overall Series Duration were 5 days + about 8 or 12 hours.

Then Ally's could start at a time good for them, WITHOUT having to miss out on some # of hours on the last day. (and of course, it would still be limited to running just 5 quests)

Only issue would be final Series Rank rewards would be delayed by that extra # of hours, but we’re already waiting upwards of half a day right now anyways.

This could be true and would account for the difference in start times as I changed allainces. In all fairness though you could pick your start time then just finding an allaince that suits your time.

Ok, AW is not mandotory, because each path have fixed length. So enough time with a margin.
But AQ path may be very long and start AQ manualy very uncomfortable

    Absolutely agree
