Increased debuff duration of a DoT debuff also increase that debuff's damage it deal?

I want to know that really increased duration of a debuff increase its DoT or not? I know the case of non-damaging debuffs in which its effects just last longer.
If there is bleed debuff of 2sec and Deep Wounds Mastery is activated then will the damage it deal in 2sec will distributed equally in all 3 to 5 sec or last 1 to 3sec part will deal equal damage as of 1st 2sec part?

But since duration is increased the overall damage done during that entire time will be more.
