Looking at some of the challenges here, Kabam really had the chance to make challenges for all progression levels and give some nice rewards for it but I understand this was meant for Endgamers and Whales.
Still tho, hope Kabam implement something similar for lower progression levels, maybe as a part of Summoner's journey objectives that I've not seen update since 2019 or something. The concept is nice.
1. Finish any quest in Act 6 or ROL without taking a single blocked hit, 5* champs only. Prize: 6* crystal with select pool of champs with the best block proficiency, “Do you block” title, Pfp
2. Beat the first 5 champs in ROL with the champ you are fighting as a 2* (eg. Beat Winter soldier with a 2* Winter soldier) Prize: title “soldier on” and a 5* of the first 5 champs in ROL
3. Beat Act 6.4.6 without using a single special attack Prize: title “button pusher? I didn’t think so...” and .5 t5CC
One thing that could be interesting would be to reverse some of the Variants. "Complete the Villain Variant with only Heroes" and stuff like that. There is currently not too much room for that since the penalties for bringing in champions who are not "supposed" to be there are immense (or you just downright can't bring in the wrong ones), but if future Variants are designed with this in mind it could make both the original Variant and the Carina version of it fun.
If you make the Variant really tough but add boosters to whatever class or types of champions are meant to complete it, it would make for a fun time. We've already seen fun boosts with the last few Variants, just continue doing that. However, I don't think you necessarily have to penalize other champions with anything but the lack of those boosts. Leave it as-is for them and tie a Carina objective to complete the Variant un-boosted. Variant 6 would have been much tougher just by not being able to power drain/lock opponents as easily as you could with villain champions, for example. So running through it with heroes would already have been much more difficult, and could have been rewarded.
As for rewards, I have no idea. I'm only Cavalier so I don't really know what rewards are suitable for TB-level players.
That being said, it would be fun even for Cavalier players to have a reason to revisit the Variants. I've completed 3-6 100% and 2 and 7 partially, so there's not a whole lot of Variant content left for me/other Cavalier players to do. We have more story content left than Thronebreakers but not necessarily a whole lot more than that, and I could see this being something that both Cavs and TBs enjoy.
Maybe Cavs have to run the Villains Variant with heroes, while TBs have to run it with 3 or 4* heroes? *shrugs*

2.) Beat 5.2.4 “Lines In The Sand” with only a 4* Angela on your team.
Reward: 4 star Cap WW2, 5* Nexus and 1000 6* shards.
On Your Left
3.) Beat 5.3.5 “Force of Will” with only Cap WW2 on your team.
Reward: 5* Nexus, 4 t2a, and one generic 5* awakening gem.
The Old Ways
1.) Beat Realm Of Legends with only a team of the following 2*s: Star Lord, 2* Gullotine, 2* Wolverine, 2* Scarlet Witch, and a 2* Thor.
Reward: 2 5* Nexus Crystals, 4-5 generic 5* rank up gem, 5* generic, and a 3* Doom.
Rust
2.) Beat 6.1.5 “The Only Game In Town” with Only 2016 or older 5* champions.

3.) Beat 5.2.6 with only a 3* Doom on your Team.

Beat Labyrinth Of Legends in under 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Reward: 25% T5CC Selector, 30k 6* shards, 1 1-2 6* generic rank up gem, 1 5* Nexus, 5,000,000 Gold, 100 Tier 6 Iso, and a 5* LOL Ultron.
