R3 Apoc or R3 Cable

Even if you use cable, you still have to win that first fight and you never know what may call for AA, collosus, Gambit or other unique mutant that benefits from horseman

Cable is really good with the apoc synergy but apoc is still better and deserves the rank 3 more.

Cable is only even in the equation because you can make him a Horseman. But you can make any mutant a horseman which means you can customize your fights based off what each quest needs. Apoc.

I use my cable far more than my Apoc tbh, his ramp up is just faster, i run suicides though

Cable is garbage alone. I think we need to be considering that when we compare him with other champs. He is only good with the Apocalypse synergy. Now, that said, Apocalypse is an amazing champ. He's so amazing, he's who I think you should take to rank 3. But just because Apocalypse is awesome doesn't mean that reliance on a synergy is practical. It's certainly more viable and you're not pulling any deadweight, but the fact that you have to have these two distinct champs together to have one be even remotely good removes him from the picture entirely imo. Apocalypse is great by himself. He's an amazing support character, an amazing attacker, and an amazing defender. Cable is non of those things without him. In fact, cable sucks ass in every category aside from offense even with him. So, bottom line is, I don't think cable will honestly ever be worth r3. Or at least, he won't be worth it 'til it's cheap to do so. This is directly opposed by Apocalypse who is and will always be worth it. I personally think it's a stretch to even r2 cable but at least that doesn't cost you a mutant t5cc. So to summarize, Apocalypse ftw

You seem to be forgetting that Apoc benefits from Cable synergy as well especially if you want to make a horseman and still use Apoc in the quest. With that said, why would you use Apoc without running Cable as well? For some reason people seem to think cable needs to be a horseman when he does not, Cable will kill any fight you do faster than Apoc from just his synergy and I’m all about speed when clearing content and if you have white mags he not only makes cable heal from poison from suicides but basically provides Apoc main utility by not allowing champs to shrug off parry stuns.

never said he needed to be a horseman... Also unlike cable, apocalypse doesn't need cable to do literally anything. It just speeds up his ramp-up. And for the record, I never use cable when I use apocalypse. Part of that can definitely be attributed to the fact that my cable is a r1 5* but I don't even use my 6* r1 MrSin when I use apocalypse. I don't think I'm alone in this
