Oh so no official announcement other than that. Was wondering why I didn't see anything actually regarding it. Just people getting exciting about content early again.

I'm hoping it will be a series of Gwenmaster type bosses, leading up to a final Grandmaster fight.
For instance, Lukemaster, Grandfury, Mistermaster, so on and so forth.
This would allow Kabam to create a skill-based boss challenge, that is very engaging and interesting. Removing BS but keeping a high skill cap is something I think we all want to see.

In kabam’s eyes, the problem with this is they’re trying to make content that’s harder than abyss and this would be easier because it’s more skill based. It’s a fun idea but they won’t do it.
They could figure out a way to make it difficult I'm sure. Think about the Aarkus phase on Gwenmaster. A lot of people had a really hard time with that. Another thing they could do, outside of difficult phases, is nodes. The Gwenmaster is just the Gwenmaster, same with the Grandmaster. No bane, masochism or buffet, just a few specific-to-them linked nodes. There are a lot of ways Kabam could make money off of this, make it difficult, but also more fun than the current abyss.
If it’s like the abyss being a revive fest I’m probably not playing it for a while. Content like that isn’t very fun. Is just a way to use items. Hoping it’s actually more skill intensive.

In all seriousness though, hit-caps and timers are plain annoying, they don't make anything difficult, they just restrict you to use the same-old high-damage champions and are an artificial way of forcing you to spend revives.

One thing I will say about the hit cap (not that I like it, more that there’s a grudging appreciation). Is that it did inspire us to use different champions and strategies.
I mean, when abyss dropped who really thought champs like IMIW, Mr fantastic and red goblin would be able to consistently solo fights?

We have 2 people who have soloed the entire path excluding the collector now. Granted they are two of the most skilled players, but we do have them. Eventually when 6 star r4 and r5 come, we are going to get more and more from other players. Who thought 6 months ago that rogue will be used to solo abyss fights?
