Spam is damage taunt and effective degen immunity (more niche uses).

HT kills mystics, reverses healing, is fire and ice immune, and bypasses miss (not to mention being able to go debuffless with the prefight.)

Although Spider-ham has his strengths, he needs to be ramp up a bit to counter degen.. his porker popper damage is pretty good if you can stack a lot on the opponent.. while Human Torch is dependable vs mystic champions.. turns energy attack into smoulders and makes his incinerate damage higher also allow him to get into Nova flame..
