Which champ should I invest in given my current roster?

I have no skill, mutant, or mystic sig stones. I have a 150 cosmic and 80 tech along with 100 generic sigs. The 6* venom is rank 2 and maw is rank 1. Currently working on variants and act 7.1. I hope to get all these guys to rank 5 and sig’ed up if need be but wondering who I should focus on right now. I also have no idea how to play prof x but I’m happy to learn.

    Depending on which Variants you're working on, Sentinel is pretty good for some of them. He's tech and XL, and he's a solid champ outside of Variants, so he isn't just a single content rank up play.
