Don't content usually come later into the CCP beta? Like once permanent content releases on the main server, after a few weeks or few months only that content is added to CCP beta? Idk for sure but I think this is how it is.
The advantage here is probably that they get to test champs with more resources and at higher levels for legends runs which is a bit meh since not everyone has access to that level of testing but is it genuinely a big deal? Just asking, not dissing on anyone here.
People who test 7.1 and 7.2, then do legend runs do have inherent advantages. It is obvious when they start a path and don’t have to read the nodes. That has happened many times.
Having said that, they still have the skill and strategic planning to get good times and would probably get the legend runs successfully completed because they’re good players.

In the long run they benefit all of us.
Actually, if someone has to read the nodes while doing the Legends run, it wasn't prepared well. It takes at least days to plan for a Legends run for SQ, and that's including knowing exactly which portal to take, what nodes and opponents will be encountered, who is to be brought in, which synergies are needed, which attacker on your team takes which defender.
At the very most, a glance of the node and the runner should know what it is about. Not to mention SQ Legends Run timings has been changed to "fight time" and not "play time".
The only advantage is that they will most probably have fought some of the nodes before (during the beta test). And since content in the beta test is subjected to change, it isn't too massive an advantage that warrants the cons of not having content tested before released.

if he did it on 7.1, Why cant he not test it on the live server like every other summoner? rather than just having an unfair advantage of not wasting any items on the beta server

Good to see you, bro
Good to see you too m8.
You guys see each other?
On the forums, dude. Sentry was MIA for a bit
Yes I was banned then subesquently muted.
Yeah, and I’m predicting a Sentry buff soon so we need you

The hidden agenda is, the game company expects a huge some of players like to power through with units. If everyone can test run in beta environment, then the number of players spending will very likely drop.
Take Grandmaster as an example, I think one-shot for most of the players are feasible if you can practice more. Without the beta environment, players need to "practice" through actual fight and some players pull money to beat the 1st run. Maybe he/she might get used to it after 3rd or 4th and reduce the unit spend substantially, but then only few run remaining and normal players would not come back again for the fight. Learning curve is the incentive why Kabam won't open the beta environment for all players. For other types of mobile games (esp adventure RPG type), game companies used to launch a beta test for all players as they want to conduct stress test as well.
Therefore, when you look at those NYCC / Summoner showdown, many of those CCPs seldom gain any advantage in live fight and they just play like an average players. It's because they have no chance to "practice" in the beta environment.
Oh man, so Lagacy used the Content Creator Beta server to create content about a quest that came out 6 months ago for the entire world to view?
Just to clear something up, 7.2 has never been available on the CCP Beta server for a single second.
Y'all are just glossing over what Karatemike just said. 7.2 isn't available on the CCP beta server so this whole post is irrelevant.
I think the point is more about the 7.2 beta that happened, I don’t think OP knew 7.2 wasn’t available on the CCP beta, as they’re different things.
Even if he didnt know, its not like that point hasnt been conveyed in this conversation multiple times…at this point this is just a bunch of whiners wanting ccp members to use their personal items to give them all the information but neither of them would spend a single item to test something out for someone else
Here we go again. CCP has an advantage....beta testers have an advantage....people with skill have an advantage....
Lags missed the last mythic title with all the same stuff he has now. Move on.
You know why he don't have the tittle..... Of course because of the mercs..... He has the disadvantage of mercs.... While normal summoners have both disadvantage of mercs and ccp/beta users...... Also I am not against youtubers as they have helped me a lot..... But still it is not fair to others....
It's cuz he wasn't going for it seriously, he has never complained about the 7.1 legends run or blamed it on mercs.
Reality check. Regardless how it comes to pass, people who have access to developing content for whatever purpose before the rest of the community will have some kind of inherent advantage when performing in that same content in a live server in the future. Big or small advantage is dependent on many many things. But overall these same people help us so much, so why would we complain? For a 6* Wolverine? The advantage is only for the first day the content comes out, then these same people who are being targeted in this thread (indirectly), help the entire community by - you guessed it - posting all the fights, nodes, best options, etc. I’d say you have more than enough info at that point to do a legends run.
I’m not in the CCP. Maybe I should try to be, but I’m not. I attempted a legends run and I failed. I’ll try again in the future - but it’s not because the CCP summoners took the top 100 spots. It’s because I didn’t score a good time. That’s my fault. I should be better at this game if I want a legend title. Oh wait - I have one! I’m actually on the leaderboards.
Reality check #2. If you were in the CCP would you say “the rest of the community should have access to this 2nd server”? No. Mainly because Kabam servers would explode, but more importantly what purpose would that serve.
I’m not saying they don’t have an advantage, but it’s for literally less than 24 hours before they share their findings with the rest of the literal MCOC world.
Reality check #3. I really screwed up 7.2 legends run. Consequently I also tried a 7.2 one but realized half way in I left my VPN on so there’s that.

Yeah I get you, I don’t think it’s just whiners though. I absolutely understand and agree that the betas and CCP do provide an advantage. I’d love to be able to rank up any champion I want just to test, without any consequence. I’d love to get to a boss and use a counter I think could work without spending any of my own items or units. That is an advantage. I’d love to be able to try out 7.2 or 3 before it gets here and give it a go.
But on the other hand, I think the CCP and betas bring a great wealth of knowledge and information to the game. I think it’s a massive positive to the community at large. Betas are self explanatory, without them, we would have had a very different 7.1. They easily help the community.
The CCP make incredible content with new champions, and are very informative. I love using them to gauge how good new champions are going to be, and I’m saving up for the next featured 6* crystals all because of the CCP videos made on Shang and mr negative.
There’s pros and cons, anyone who says it’s no big deal that CCP and beta players get unlimited resources and all the testing they want, is underselling it a bit. It’s a huge perk a lot of us would absolutely love. But at the same time, anyone who thinks it should be removed is forgetting the massive benefit they serve the community. I think it’s pretty evident that the pros outweighs the cons personally.

The beta was 4 months ago and didn't have all the same fights. Nor did it have Gwenmaster. He could keep all this practicing or whatever you want to label it but he's putting all his prep work out there for everyone to see, essentially doing the rank ups for you so that you don't have to unless you now want to. He can't practice 7.2 runs or anything. Most of the nodes in 7.2 are different than 7.1. I don't see any advantage that others don't have. There's tons of path guides available now as well and those are for everyone. People just think they have to be special.

I couldnt have said it better….this sums up the entire situation…ccp members are an amazing part of the community and while i do agree that everyone would like the perks but the work that they put in,they deserve the perks that they get

Whatever you say, it is a fact that doing the content before gives you an advantage. Whether that advantage is too much is up to kabam and they’ve decided that the pros of beta testing outweigh the cons of beta testers getting an advantage.
You’re ignoring logic here I’m afraid - having the option of both doing a fight and reading a guide is more beneficial than only reading a guide. That’s not an opinion, it is a fact.
I think the point is in a world full of small (and not so small) advantages, the CCP advantage is not large enough to make a fuss over. It is no different than saying spenders have an unfair advantage, or iOS users have an unfair advantage, or people who can afford new phones have an unfair advantage, or people who have more free time to spend on the game have an unfair advantage.
The game makes no attempt to provide an absolutely level playing field. Different players will get different things out of the game depending on what they put in. Whales are going to get a big pile of stuff non-whales don't get. Arena grinders will translate their hours of grind into lots of resources other players will not get. Dedicated players who practice their combat skills will get much farther much faster than players who don't. If you decide to become a content creator of this game, and you contribute positively to the game community, and you're willing to participate in the Content Creator Program in a meaningful way, you'll gain access to resources that will make it easier for you to continue to produce that content. Some of those resources will also happen to confer in-game advantages. Other parts of the program will likely generate in-game disadvantages, if for no other reason than due to time expenditures.
Kabam thinks that's a fair exchange, the CCP members think that's a fair exchange (or they wouldn't voluntarily participate) and if there are people who think this is an unfair exchange, well that's unfortunate for them. I can't personally think of a content creator that looks to have gotten significantly more out of the program than they are contributing to it and the community as a whole. If someone thinks the advantages outweigh the costs, they should attempt to become a content creator and qualify for the program.
You yourself said that having ccp advantage is similar to having an ios Or expensive phone....... And we know that having an ios Or expensive phone is a disadvantage which is unintended and even kabam is trying to remove it(that is why they changed the rules for legend run)..... The thing is having ios Or expensive phone is something which cannot be prevented whatever they do......... Also I don't understand how you compare these disadvantages(since both ccp and having expensive phone is out of the game things) with spending more time in game or spending money on ingame items.....
Also I agree it is a fair exchange for me and other 99% summoners who never go for the legends run but still get the help of these youtubers. But it will still affect that very small population who is not content creator or are neither get lucky to be invited for betas of different acts.......
Ultimately this is one of the things that come with the territory.
On the one hand, these players have a large personal advantage in that they can test champions to their heart's content which ultimately will benefit their rank up decisions and resource management. The side benefit to this is that they're encouraged to publish their experimentation which can allow regular players to make informed rank up decisions without having to gamble on a paper description of a champion's abilities. There's an additional benefit in that after the CCP players have played around with a champion, any glaring holes in the champion should be fixed before they go live.
The obvious negative is that they're able to test for speed runs without any personal cost but out of the players in the CCP the majority have comfortably qualified for these legends/mythic titles in the past with a fair degree of regularity so it's unlikely to actually upset the applecart too much. For 99.999% of players, the ability to speed test high end content isn't relevant. Ultimately in this case the footage has been published for us to use and it's difficult to know how much content is being completed off camera.
For me, the quality of the CCP videos has increased dramatically with the beta servers, they're able to test champions at a decent rarity and power level in a way that they never used to be able to when it was capped at a sig200 R3, or Seatin's classic 3* Maestro challenge. If the cost of this practical knowledge is an allegedly reduced chance of being able to qualify for a Mythic title that 99.999% of the player base didn't attempt to get, let alone seriously go for then that's a cost that I personally am willing to bear.
