Now I just wait for Slayer of Gods to tell me I'm wrong

Here he is soloing BPCW gauntlet. With footloose, arc overload and the node where he’s unblockable while an armour buff is active. That’s a lot of buffs, and most mystics would find it hard to deal with. CGR makes it easy.
While CGR doesn’t need the dupe to do his damage, the sig is a large chunk of utility, which CGR benefits a hell of a lot from.
But then CMM’s sig is absolutely awesome and a lot better than CGRs. The only way I’d say to OP to awaken CGR over CMM is if he doesn’t really like CMM and he really likes CGR.
Regarding sig level, CGR is most definitely a sig 1 and done champ. You don’t need a single sig more in him.
Cap Marvel’s sig scales really well at low sig, a graph is shown below.
As you can see, most of the benefit of the sig is from 50-70 sig levels.
So around 70 sigs gets you 10.38 seconds of indestructible, and a 42 second cooldown. Out of a possible 12 seconds and 40 seconds overall. So you’d need an extra 130 sigs for that last 1.6 seconds of indestructible and 2 second less of cooldown. Which really isn’t worth it.
Overall, both are fantastic options. If you like CGR a lot, and don’t think you’d use CMM as much then go for it. There are plenty of opportunities to use his buff control. But objectively, CMM is the better champ so you can’t go wrong with either.
Did you even watch the video? Armour break is not the same as fate seal.
Most of the buff control was done using the fate seal, which came in handy in so many points of the fight. Not to mention it takes care of footloose evade and unstoppable, which are not removed by armour breaks.
Honestly, take a look at the video and really watch how many times I get the fate seal on BPCW and how it gets rid of the buffs.
CGR is a better buff control champ than a lot of mystics, and I stand by that
