A friend keeps arguing that Stryfe is better. He even said the forums would back him up

Spoiler alert: he’s not. He’s just Stryfe. Outside of his awesome synergy with Apocalypse, there’s nothing he does that someone else doesn’t do better or more efficiently.
Ramp up: ehh…can feel repetitive and clunky.
Damage: decent once ramped up, can’t knock him there. I’m sure a 6 star rank 3 would have some satisfying SP2s. But…again, idk if it’s worth the resources when there are others that could be Rank 3 worthy.
Various uses: he’s not bad, dependable. But not a go-to. He’s someone I use as clean up man after the rest of my team gets KO’d. He can feel exhausting to play in longer matches.
If he had a built in power gain mechanic….I’d say he would instantly become appealing to the general community. He has his fans, and he’s not a “bad” champ by any means. But my Professor X has began to age well and is finding more and more uses.
That’s just my take on him. Again, I usually just pair him with cable to boost my Apocalypse to “ridiculously nuts” tier.
I’ve used professor x and stryfe about the same and I have them both r3. The only reason I voted prof x is for his performance in abyss (which stryfe is still good for).
The stryfe hate tho…
He’s also done well for 7.2 and was great of SoP rogue.
I feel like if he wasn’t put in such an average featured crystal, more people would’ve gotten him and actually tested him. Then they’d realise his potential.
