Playing MCOC on a rooted device

If I were to root my Android for purposes completely separate from MCOC and not download anything shady that modifies MCOC whatsoever, could I land my account in trouble for playing on that device? I want to root my Android because it allows for customization options that aren't naturally available in the basic Android OS, but if it could put my account in jeopardy it isn't worth the risk.

Why don’t you do that on a second android phone if you do have?

I played on a rooted phone for months without issues. Just don't mess with the game files or payment systems

You assume everyone has a second phone lying around

Technically there's no prohibition from Kabam on rooting your phone that I'm aware of. However I will caution you that if you're rooting the phone because you want to make all kinds of customization and alteration to your phone and one of those is *detected* by the game, which could happen if one of them touched the game in some way, Kabam will likely ban you for that. It doesn't matter if you mod the game directly, or some other app on your phone tampers with the game, the results will likely be the same.

I didn’t assume anything. I wrote “if you do have?”
