Fighting 6*r3s without even knowing who the opponents are isn't fun.
And adding synergies to defenders is only the beginning of death of AW... Some synergies can be a literal nightmare.
For example... Bishop with 3 power bar synergy... Basically bishop has a sp3 ready every bloody single fight for ever.
Sorcerer with Storm X synergy on power start 2. She demolishes you with that sp3 at the start of every fight. Imagine Electro on a hidden node or taking Torch against Havok. Yea, that sounds fun

In high tier war activating synergies would make the defenders practically unkillable, which is completely broken. In low tier war activating synergies would make the defenders assassinate the attackers, which is completely broken.
I'm not sure in what tier this would be a good idea.
not in any tier, and hidden defenders won't work either, as its possible to calculate the hidden defender.
Synergies will break war defenders making them more difficult. It would add an undesired burden to war because we'd need to look at each defender then all their possible synergies to see if any are active. Kabam in the past has stated there is not a good method to reveal defender synergies. The community has traditionally been against defender synergies.
As we rank up champ the health pool increases naturally making for longer fights. A 5 min timer is fair to prevent unintentional death count via timeout.
Speed of fights only factor into score ties.
Perhaps OP should move to an alliance in a tier more suited to OP's desires.
