Alliance War more competitive

I don't know why you're tempting to let us make the fights faster than the opponents. If you want to improve that take out the 5 minutes and just give us 1 minute to fight.

If you really want "to do" something interesting in Alliance war, return hidden defenders and active the synergies between defenders.

Why? The game is really easy, there's nothing competitive in AW, every single season becomes easier than the past one, maybe you're new in this but, at the beginning, alliance wars were like that and they were funny, this game is going downhill and less competitive. You only want free rewards without any effort.

Anything fun about hidden defenders? That could be fun because you won't even know about defenders on the map. It's gonna be random and that's funny, if you die, it'd be because you faced an unexpected defender, what's the point about knowing who's gonna be your opponent? Just taking the correct counter and dying even taking the correct counter? LOL

Adding a bonus lane with hidden defenders could do the trick. The mode lost a lot when hidden defenders were removed not that it wasn’t warranted but making an optional lane or tie breaker lane with that level of difficulty would be cool.

Oh but then again people can just cheat to reveal the defenders like they did in the past so never mind as it would likely give an advantage to cheaters.

Basically bishop has a sp3 ready every bloody single fight for ever.

Hidden defense across the entire Map with over 200 champs in the game would be a nightmare. There is no element to planning then. It's all just take in a set of 3 champs and hope that you've got the right counter. And with all the new champs being so unique, chances are you'd have a wrong champ.
And defense synergy being active would be the worst thing possible in war. Simple as that.

In high tier war activating synergies would make the defenders practically unkillable, which is completely broken. In low tier war activating synergies would make the defenders assassinate the attackers, which is completely broken.

I'm not sure in what tier this would be a good idea.

I get your point, and I do agree with you that AW itself and the rewards are a bit dull, but your suggestion would just create a much, much worse problem. One suggestion that I’ve seen that looks at least interesting is doing just 2 stars, 3 stars, and 4 stars allowed in the war. Not sure how and if that would work in-season, but maybe just try it next off-season

Was there an announcement about the additional paths being added to war??? Placement phase came up and i discovered we had 6 extra paths to cover!
Pretty obvious it is to push small alliances down in their rankings by making a map that used to be clearable by six players now requires a min of 9.
But a heads up???

This is a rather draconian change to solve the same problem "true war ratings" was supposed to prevent! Lil bitty alliances ranking in tiers were they do not belong!
But the simplest solution would have been to NOT give war rating points in off season matches! That is where these tiny alliances are getting the points to reach gold tier!
Turn it off during off season matches, turn it on during the season!
When war ratings was introduced i argued it wasn't going to significantly change the situation. It hasn't for us! We still face many half empty maps every season and alliances we can just walk all over.
