Is Angela's awakened ability useless against passive dmg?

Would her ability work against Rising Sun node?

Rising Sun - Land a hit (any hit other than a heavy attack), you get a +2.5% damage fury per hit, when you reach 10 of these furies, you'll get a passive degeneration. Doing a heavy attack removes all fury.

    Passive Damage Effects aren't Damaging Debuff Effects.

    So no. She doesn't prevent any passive damage.

    It works for icarus because icarus apples degeneration debuffs.

    However rising sun applies passive degenerations which aren’t targeted by Angela’s sig as mentioned.

    How many other champs can reduce the duration of every single debuff? The sig stones are not wasted. Passive damage is something very few champs can ignore. By your logic, Gulk is the only champ who is special because he can mitigate the passive damage.

    Nothing special is the opposite of what she is. We literally just told you how she works. If you didn’t know that already, why did you put sig stones into her?
    No need to be so angry, it's Sunday, relax a little.

    She is nothing special for my roster, many champs reduce or shrug debuffs.

    Moleman, Nick Fury, CapIW, Kingpin

    Namor can even dmg back if I stay aggresive enough.

    Hit monkey can shrug off debuffs too.

    Well how did you get to the point of having this super roster of yours without learning how to read champ abilities yet?
    You don't have to be a mcoc nut to get a great roster tbh, it's just a mobile game that needs you to know how to fight.

    My alliance does a great job of analyzing champs and I just ask them when I'm in doubt about something. I posted here because everyone's enjoying their Sunday.

    Those are very situational. Moleman cannot shrug once he reaches frenzy, Nick needs to knock down the defender, CAIW needs skill synergy, Kingpin needs Hood synergy to be guaranteed. Hitmonkey also needs to be in some phase, I forgot which one. All of them you mentioned also shrug off non-damaging debuffs, which may not be ideal. Angela only speeds up damaging ones. She also needs no synergy to do this. I am not saying all the champs you mentioned don't work, just that Angela has some unique mechanic that none of the champs you mentioned have. Only champs that can shrug off debuffs faster than normal are Karnak( needs dupe), Groot, Rogue, Blade( Full power - 95% reduction) and Beast( Only bleeds) as far as I remember. So, she is pretty special in that regard. Your sigs are not wasted my friend.
    Sounds all good and I agree.

    My r5 moleman disagrees, he's just a versatile champ and yes with the right synergies he's unstoppable. Guardian for block proficiency, Nick Fury, CAIW.

    I didn't even mention my r3 invisible woman who negates a lot of debuff damage with her shield.

    But yes probably you're right, Angela has something unique but it needs a high sig to be effective.

    She has refreshable armor ups for Havok, fury buffs for that one poison node I’m forgetting the name of, armor break, good damage, nullify-proof, dot debuff-proof, autoblock-proof, projectile parry, and has 150% of her stated health bar with her regen buffs. I’m not super end game, but I’m advanced enough to know she is very handy for lots of different stuff. She’s no Ghost or CAIW, but she is very reliable in most areas, and doesn’t rely on blocking or not facing true sense to get by with her debuff shortening. Source: have her 6* duped r3.

    Not to mention she obliterates most cosmic cavEQs
