Compensation

I know Kabam is planning some nice compensation due to the recent issues in the game, including parry. Hopefully the game lag is reduced in the process.
Anyway, the compensation needs a special time to expire, such as 90 days. It does not help me to give a several potions and revives that expire before I can use them.

Atlast someone with constructive thread about this topic.i totally agree here. We got many pots and revives expiring. And extension to expiring timer in coming package would be appreciated.

As for the special potions thing, it’s something that we’ve been asking for for some time now, particularly with abyss and act 6 compensations it was a major request because they were coming out for people who had already done the content, in a time where there was no new content to do, and they didn’t do anything, I wouldn’t expect much, but really think it is what they should be doing

Unless it comes in batches, stuff will expire for some, no matter what.

The best idea I think I’ve seen is that we be given tokens instead of items, with each kind of token redeemable in a store for only a specific item. That way, the compensation serves more as a voucher to be used at a time when it would be usable and therefore actually be… dare I say the word, compensation. It doesn’t help if the compensation ends up expiring, so I definitely agree.

Wouldn’t be an issue for me, but it is definitely an issue many face.

Rather than make another complicated currency in the game, and another thing to break... I think its much cleaner to just give units.

The system Mr. Naw is describing wouldn’t really be a new currency. It would be like having a picture of a revive in your inventory that you could turn into an actual revive at any time you need it. That way it doesn’t count towards your revive item limit while it is in picture form. This way Kabam can still be very specific about what it is giving us without running into inventory limit issues.

There are a couple of issues with giving units as compensation, from Kabam’s perspective. First off, to them it is handing away money. Second and more importantly, units have a more variable value than other items in the game. Consider the value of 3000 units to your account today, two years ago, a year from now, or on one of the big sale days like Cyber Weekend.

What may be appropriate compensation in unit form today may prove exponentially more valuable down the line if a player holds onto them. Whereas a 6* hero crystal will always be just that. A t5 basic catalyst will always be what it is. But units scale with the economy, and therefore are far more valuable than just their face value.
