Summer of pain point change?

I'm gonna be short , prior to the upcoming end of the summer of pain rewards I accumulated enough points to fall at the 9th rank (3rd from the top) however as I've checked recently I've been knocked down to week 8? Not sure if this is a bug or glitch any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like you earned an extra point from the second week of Darkhawk. When the Darkhawk fight was extended one week, any player who defeated him in the first week and then defeated him in the second week got an extra point for that second defeat they were not supposed to get. They've been saying on the forums and I believe in in-game notices that the extra point was going to be removed some time before the end of the event. If you lost a point in the last week, that was probably Kabam deducting the extra Darkhawk point.

If you believe you did not get the extra point from the double Darkhawk week and had this point removed in error, I would recommend opening a ticket with support.

Did you beat darkhawk a second time the week after he was released? if so, you got an additional point that was an error. There is a big green banner up right now on the forums explaining that.

To be honest with you I have no idea that's been weeks ago lol I definitely do not remember but I doubt I got an extra point during the darkhawk week.

I mean...they literally told us they were waiting until the very end.

They sent an in-game message and there's a sticky thread on it. There's also a banner now at the top of the forums. So if you call warning us weeks in advance "backwards", then I have no idea what forwards is...

Also you seem pretty negative towards a company who did warn us. When are you going to hold the people accountable for not reading or paying attention like you do Kabam for every little thing?

Heeeyyy I usually don’t respond but I was just talking about you lol . But like I said, many didn’t know it was a bug and did it twice, and couldn’t remember, being that it was weeks back. Point being, they should of took the point back that week or the week after so the aforementioned could adjust. No response needed, as I expected your “unbiased” logic doesn’t apply to most situations.

You're so bent on blaming Kabam you can't even admit when you're point the finger at the wrong person.
This post is from July 14th right after the issue happened and they sent an in game message the same day or day after. You want Kabam to be the bad guy sooooo bad, you can't even fathom this is a summoner issue. Ignoring messages, posts and warning banners is on the player, not Kabam. It's really not "typical Kabam" as you put it.

i can confirm that they have taken a point from my account (i chose not to do the tech point on darkhawk at all) an didnt get the extra point or the normal point . it dosent effect my rewards ill still be getting the 2nd highest milestone but it was a mistake that they took a point off mine so i would double check your points everyone just incase

Did you fight DH on the 2nd week the fight was out?

I don't know if everyone got the message on the same day, but I went back to check and I got the notice in-game on the 16th:

I find it hard to believe that all these guys had no idea about the point getting taken away. It was only plastered all over the forums and in game mail…

It happened to me also just never mind all people that think they know best or your trying to cheat. if kabam look they will find they messed up some employee clearly never had there coffee.

If you think the removal was in error, submit a ticket to support. They are able to check if you gained a point you should not have. I’ve been paranoid that I was going to lose a point even though I know I didn’t re-run Darkhawk. I’ve checked to make sure I’m still at 27 points like eight times now.

If you think it was wrong of Kabam to take away a point that you weren’t supposed to get in the first place and that you were told multiple times was going to be removed… I do not feel bad. They told you at the time and several times since then. If you didn’t do the content, you don’t get the rewards. Simple.

Lmao even if you didn’t know it was going to happen it wouldn’t have changed what you actually got, you completed the same number of milestones either way. That being said kabam was very open about this issue and was only an issue because they were trying to help players that could not do the challenge because of the bug.

Well. As unfortunate as it may be to inform you.. but not everyone is active on the forum, nor read every notification. Being as it may I'm not the type person to place blame on anyone I did however come here to see if this was issue only I or others have noticed. But to answer you NO I did not see any Big green banner indicating anything. Smile
