DO NOT USE AAR ON KANG, he wasn’t bug tested at all

Any type of AAR on Kang can cause your properly executed specials to literally blow up in your face. This has cost me 10+ revives already as well as having to disable assassin in my mastery.
This is pretty frustrating because you gotta make sure there’s zero chance of AAR on him (Hit Monkey’s disorient killed me…) pictures for proof….
Here’s me activating my SP2 when that was the task
Here’s the task turning red indicating I somehow failed it…..
And here’s Kabam taking my units for really no good reason…

Throw an SP3? No problem…
Here I go, I got this man…
Oh nvm I guess just take my units again 🤦🏼♂️
How does the opponent having their ability accuracy reduced mean my abilities fail. I’d love to watch the mental gymnastics routine, Simone Biles got nothing on you.
It’s supposed to be an informative post so people realize it’s bugged and don’t get screwed like me. Please troll elsewhere, your reputation precedes you.
This would be like if Magneto can’t generate prowess because he’s against a metal champ and the code isn’t registering the metal champ was knocked down due to AAR. It’s a problem in the coding.
It'll be fixed.
The wording here says that when knocked down by a special attack corresponding to the selected bars powerloop is immediately removed and the opponent gains a power charge.
Now the wording on when the timer expires mentions ability accuracy but soon we will see that (at least in one case) this is irrelevant because the math still doesn’t add up.
First Hit Monkey
His disorient decreases defensive ability accuracy by 40%. Now I won’t say I know for sure whether it’s a flat percentage or taken off of the 140% chance to gain a charge, either way the wording is poor and below we will see it doesn’t even matter. So even disoriented Kang’s ability accuracy for this interaction should be either 140%-40% = 100% or 40% off of 140% which is 84%
Again at best this is saying that we agree on the interaction.
Now where it gets more interesting is with Falcon…we can see that Kang is not stunned when I launch the SP3 in the original post so no AAR there. I had one point in assassin so let’s see what that is…
12% AAR? So the ability accuracy should either be 128% by simple subtraction or 123.2% by taking 12% out of 140. So what gives there? Let’s double check Falcon wasn’t locked on (he wasn’t) and let’s see if there’s any AAR on his SP3 (there isn’t)
Something is not right.
It's kangs ability of selecting number
In 7.3.1 I used red mags and domino at special delivery matador node, matador kept failing
Aar affects nodes too
There is plenty of time when domino failed to gain fury passive in cav EQ
However I do think it would be cool if big bosses would have ability accuracy reduction immune and power control Immune
(And again even if I’m completely wrong the math still doesn’t add up for Falcon)
Ps i also went in with magneto and died. Then read his text haha
If they don't gain one or it fails due to CHANCE, they instead take damage X amount.
It could be something like this ;
If they don't gain one or it fails due to any Ability Accuracy Reduction ( pasify,assassin,disorient ), they instead take damage X amount.
I really hate changing my all masteries for ONE fight. This is neither fair nor fun. You need to reset all of you mastery and then you need to put all points where they belong and spend units for not getting wrecked because of assassin. The fight is already hard as it is, including something like this feels like 6.2 kind design. Hate this. If they can make "The taken damage" unaffected by AAR they can definitely make special attacks missions unaffected too.
There are other problems with this fight too. Firstly sometimes even if Kang gets wounded he is not stunned. Don't believe me ? There you go ;
https://youtu.be/30V9t_kiX5U?t=17133
Secondly, he has limber in his kit but I never saw anyone or any abilities can decrease Passive Stun timer. Even worse only way you can stop the power loop timer is knocking him with heavy. You can't parry with active or passive stuns after some of them and u sure can't punish his heavy with most of the champions AND he has a node that decreases the power loop timer. Maybe you think those are not that big of a problems but when u combined all of this with recent AI ( passive, hold block, dash back dash forward, more block, hold block, block and block ) u get yourself a very cute nightmare.
Here is the summary of Kang fight ;
They took most of the things from Gwenmaster that makes her a perfectly designed fight ( all intercepts stops the timer, Stealthy's passive fury pause kit ). Changed her skin and animations + they added all new kit that none of us can tell which ones are affected by AAR and wreck us + changed wounded from Grandmaster and made that one affected by AAR as well. All of this combined with Parry/Dex issues made Kang fight a really weird one.
Also it only mentions that for when you are at the power level, it uses clearly different wording for when you launch the special.
Further, is there any penalty for throwing a special that isn’t prompted? No there isn’t so if that’s the case it should just give you the remaining time to try to do the prompt…
For example if you need to launch a SP1 you can launch your SP2 to shed some power and you take no damage. So why is the prompt immediately failing it’s just wrong. Even if you disagree the math for one point in assassin makes zero sense…right?
Like come on, you seriously saying you’ve never tried something like magneto vs matador node and not gained power because you’ve shut down the node? These sorts of interactions are nothing new, irritating, but nothing new.
