What exactly changed with him? I have had him since he's been elite. So I really don't know the prior version as well.

it was a while ago… he got better against mystics I think

It wasn’t a major change, but he’s very good now

He was my first rank 3. Use him all the time. Took my 5s to max rank as well.

Aside from his mystic domination, it should be noted that no champ in the game is immune to his nova flames.

Gulk isn’t immune , but would benefit or take minimal damage from the passive nova flames, right ?

You’ve gotta 50/50 chance. His face me mechanic is so ruddy inconsistent on what does trigger face me and what doesn’t

Well, remember that face me is just regeneration and torch reverses that, so I believe face me does activate against the passive nova flames, but you just reverse all the regen into extra damage.

Sorry, I didn't clarify. I have him as a 6-3 myself. But all I read is how amazing his tiny buff made c him. What was the tiny buff? The Mystics??

Pretty sure it made his temperature increase faster off of the heavy. Which allowed him to actually be useful against limber in AW. Don’t quote me on that though.

I used a generic ag on human torch when he was released. Never regretted it once.

After they decreased the time on his temp charger it was game changing to use him vs every defender.

Only champs that have “protection” from it are those with energy resistance, but they still do damage and it can often add up. For example max sig guardian has resistance to a degree (ha puns), also guardian bypasses much of Electro’s thorns damage I recently discovered.
