It's something I've pondered about as well. It would be easier for auto players.
I guess to me the ideal version would be that you default and do the hardest unexplored path first and from there next hardest and so on and so on, etc.
The auto fight system has room to improve and hopefully with time, it will.
Should automatically do paths based on… Unexplored. If multiple still unexplored, then if any have drop items (potions/energy) on them. Else, any unexplored. Or by same logic (drop items if any, then actually by least energy needed) if all paths already explored.
