Cyclops Challenge

I’ve been playing this game for about 2 and a half years now, and I’ve always been quite annoyed with a few things. I’ve explored everything in the game but abyss and was just finishing up the Carina Challenges. I spent around 700 something units for the Cyclops challenge, just to finish and find out that apparently, you needed to have both cyclops on their team. While some of you may say, “you should have read it more closely”, I’d like to use this to show just how messed up this really is. What if someone is missing the other 3* cyclops, like I was, not having done the challenge awarding both 3* cyclops yet. I fail to see how this is fair, and it’s really bothering. After all, is there really a difference between using a single cyclops or both?

I thought one of the carina challenges gave you both cyclops? Anyways, I'm guessing now we should all be jumping into events and not read the requirements needed to complete them?

What part of missing 3* red cyclops are you not understanding? Yes, I know there was a carina challenge giving one. But I haven’t done it yet.

There had been a thread about this quite some time back.

But (to defend the OP here), the Kamala Khan objective says “5 or 6 star” (word “or” being in lower case).
Now does that mean you do NOT get credit if you bring BOTH your 5* and 6* Kamala together on the team, because technically the word said “or” ?
(I honestly don't know what the Kamala one excludes or allows, but I would assume it wouldn’t matter if you bring just one of them or both of those Kamala's)

That's the same logic as saying the word “AND” for the Cyclops one implies you do need to bring BOTH cyclops.

I guess the only difference here is the “AND” being in upper case is saying “pay attention here, it is AND”. While in the other one they are not emphasizing that (lower case “or”), so for that one you don’t need to analyze the exact wording.

My guess is it’s just another harebrained scheme to snag some more units. There’s gonna be people like me who bring in a single cyclops, spend some units, and realize they didn’t actually “complete” the challenge, resulting in them either spending a ton of time in the arena or pulling out the wallet. It’s like doing the cosmic challenge but you NEED to have a FULL TEAM of 5* cosmic champs. It would be pointless.

Sorry to say this man but this is your fault. This was a problem previously and kabam specifically said in multiple posts that you need both 3* cyclops. Then they changed the wording on the in game challenge to say you need both red AND blue 3* cyclops.

It was originally a bug which is why they changed the wording in game to be super specific.

You should've done it. I have sympathy for you. I hated this "challenge" . And can only imagine doing it for it mean nothing. But when you do a challenge this expensive you should've done more research. And considering you can literally get the two champs while doing another challenge, you should've done that

Again, I don’t CARE about the fact that I needed to bring 2. I quit the game, because it’s just a game. I really don’t care about missing out on a digital 6* groot dupe and a 1-2 gem. What I want to know is what’s the purpose of having 2 3* cyclops?

There is no purpose. It's a requirement to complete an objective

Why is it a requirement? Is it making it any more “challenging”? I’m still using a 3* cyclops, am I not? And with there being no purpose, it just exposes kabam’s greedy behavior even more, because there’s no difference between using 1 or 2 cyclops. It’s just there to trip people up and secure some more cash. And it’s obvious for some reason you’ve got a bone to pick with me, so I hope you live a good life!

Why is it a requirement to need 2 tier 5 basic to R5 a champ? Why not just 1? I am not defending Kabam, most of the challenges were unit grabs. I like a few in here were pointing out that you only needed to read the objectives. There are much worse things that Kabam have done that trip people up

Savage, you needed 2 t5b to r5 a champ because 1 t5b was too easy. But why do you need 2 3* cyclops? Still the same difficulty. If anything, it’s easier with 2 cyclops!

i do feel really bad for you, but i can't argue for you. it does say the word "and" which is pretty clear. the only thing i would do is stay in the quest and write a ticket asap

Already finished the quest, and I’m not going to go through a bunch of junk to get a 1-2 gem to use on the 6* groot dupe I will have pulled.

It's easy because Kabam made it that. It's an arbitrary requirement. No purpose in it. They could have made it harder to get t5 basic and make the requirement 1

I didn’t get a single word you said, nor do I really care. Last thing I’m gonna say to everyone playing kabam’s games, remember, they’re just games. Spend your time doing something productive, don’t waste it doing junk like this to get more digital junk. Yeah, sure, if you’ve got the time, feel free to play. Just keep your priorities straight.

It makes my hands hurt just thinking about running thru that blasted thing, only to have it not que completion. But, it literally is “Miike’s Revenge.”
