I feel like there is a new trend that the devs are creating. The need of a specific counter. It began with Cav EQ, that is fine, multiple sets of nodes and if you are Cav and higher, it is very likely that you have at least one counter.
Then came last month SQ. There it became worse, because you needed a fairly specific counters. For ex Venompool needed reliable heal reversal or insane damage. It wasn't too bad, but started getting worse.
And now there is V8 Venompool with extremely low amount of counters.
I understand that V8 is gonna be fixed, but I would like to ask the devs to terminate this trend. Act 7 shows clearly, that you can do better. You can create a challenge that's based on skill and not just (not) having the specific champion. So please stick to creating challenges that require skill, rather than limiting player progress this way.

When you limit a whole quest line by a single tag the quests need to be appropriate to that tag, and Merc is a tag that has damage in bucketloads - Domino, Massacre, Nebula, for example, but doesn’t have a huge amount of utility built into it. Making the required utility something like Arc Overload would be ok, requiring debuffs that are instantly shrugged when only one tagged champion can even loosely do this, is not.
I think it speaks to ignorance rather than punitive design in this case, as there have been good strides forward in quest design since Act 6. That being said, the last people I’d expect to be ignorant about champion and node interactions are the devs and QAs (if the latter exist).

Those are my positive discussions. I also make sure to leave a positive comment whenever I like something. And when I don't, I do say it.
