This IS THE Black Friday offer. Many places are running the deals early. Such a great offer can only be the real thing. Great way to get all those alts beefed up.
Let’s say you’re cavalier with 15,000 units ready for Black Friday. This offer comes along and the selector can make you TB. You can bank this offer plus the 5000unit TB offer with 2500 left over for gifting. Is that better than the 15k cavalier offer? Honestly I would’ve guessed yes.
Over analyzing it. Do abyss for much less than 5000, become TB no matter what, and have more units left over to get the offers.
Not everyone can do that. In fact, I would bet less than 10% of all the players in the game could do that.
10% of all players, or 10% of players close to TB?
The mechanics of the fights in abyss are way easier than the overwhelming majority of act 6.
If you’re close to beating GM you can probably cope with abyss.
Sure, but some of us don’t want to take a few days away from monthly events to do high mental load fights when the game is buggy. Over the next week I’ll be doing alliance stuff, autofighting quests, and occasionally sneaking in a path of cavalier EQ.
I can’t just “go do abyss” unless I also “go retain a divorce lawyer”

10% of all Cavaliers. When TB first came out, the vast majority of players "close to TB" were either highly skilled players that had done things like the Abyss of Act 6 100%, or whales (assuming they were not already past their first R3). But today, T5CC is much easier to get from things like Variants and the monthly EQ, and the number of players who have a significant amount of T5CC is both much larger and much wider in skill level. Today, someone who only has moderate skills and can explore monthly EQ consistently could easily have nearly formed T5CC now. At least close enough that a 25% selector puts them over the top in one class.
The GM is certainly a higher skill fight, but it is also something you could theoretically spend past, if you only needed to do it once. And even among all players that possess the skill to do the Abyss in theory, there are probably a substantial number that don't or can't commit the time to do it in a reasonable stretch. I myself can literally not stare at the game for more than an hour at a time without a significant break, because my eyes literally stop seeing clearly. Also, my B+ skills at the start are C- skills after 90 minutes or so. If the next title after TB required exploring the Abyss (I doubt it, but just for discussion) I would push to do it, but if there was a way to spend past that gate there's a strong chance I would consider it.
Objectively terrible value... but if im sitting on 10k of units, i plan to spend on Black Friday AND this deal would allow me to be throne breaker... as bad a value as it is, i might do it just because the value of the deals at throne breaker are so much better than cav
Objectively, the value of the deal is not the contents of the deal, but what those contents can do for you. If they can get you to TB before CW and that then magnifies your spending power in terms of cash and units you were going to spend anyway, then the objective value of the deal for you is excellent.

Sorry chap but that sounds like a load of rubbish to me. Way more skill needed to do even 6.2 (champion??) or SOP than abyss. Are you seriously saying 90% of late cavs are incapable of doing it or just too good at making excuses?
Abyss just takes commitment and people seem scared off doing it because of maybe nonsense perpetuated here, if you jump in it’s actually nothing if you have been through act 6.
What does it take, 4 hours? Do it an hour a night. Missing out on other questing rewards over those days? Lols ok. You get like 2-3 months of top tier questing rewards in a few hours.
I did it recently on a 240k account with very few masteries unlocked. I think only WP, stupefy and dex, plus whatever steps in the tree to get to those. Cost about 2.5k and there were a few fights in the middle where the bugs were rife.
Abyss is the very definition of content you spend through to get through once. Not really sure what you’re trying to say here vs GM fight but don’t put people off making a much better decision than spending on this awful offer. You’re in a position of influence on the forum but your post is negative and discouraging.
I have no idea why the office is at such a high price!
Yep, its all about the money, as always, especially before Cyber, and Gifting event.
Weird. A for profit company making offers to earn money.... crazy.
It's not a cash offer, its a unit based offer. Those are free in the game if you're willing to put the work in to get them. So no, it's not about the money like always.

So because you did it for the second (third, whatever) on an Alt, you think it's easier for other people? Not everyone is capable, or has the patience, to do Abyss. People have a tendency to claim content is easy AFTER they've done it, but they can't always speak for people who haven't.

Yeah unfortunately we aren’t all built equally for equal content. I’m about to turn 50, and spent the first half of my career working in outpatient rehab, doing soft tissue work and weight training with athletes. My hands are substantially more arthritic than I ever expected. There does seem to be an upper limit to what I can achieve with them anymore.

For sure. I can do lots of content, as long as I can keep the fights fairly short, and take breaks. Abyss is out. Grandmaster required more than a single day, and I had to plan around updates and downtime for fear my progress would go, lol.

My point was more that the content is easy vs other aspects of the game a wannabe thronebreaker is completing. If you’re midway + into act 6 first run and you can explore cav eq without too much trouble, youve easily got the skills for abyss, maybe not the team but there’s more options now..frankly you only need 2
I referenced my run to give an idea of unit cost vs this deal, even if you double it it’s cheaper. Easy path runs generally fall into that 2-4K unit mark depending on team and stash. I’ve only done 2 and they were very similar. I’m sure some people have done it far either side but would be in the minority.
Also wrt difficulty I’d appreciate the opinion of someone who’d completed a bit of content way more than someone who avoided it. Your comment makes little sense. Reminds me of that guy on here the other day desperately trying to explain how difficult a fight was that he didn’t understand to people who found it easy because they did, like we were the ones doing it wrong. 🥴
Whatever people play the game in the own way and via their own paths, I get that, just seems weird to talk negatively about something you haven’t actually done and try and make it into this big ordeal for others to avoid too.
Offers save time. That's the whole purpose of spending. We can acquire things by playing and waiting, or we can spend on Offers. I don't necessarily agree that Abyss is as easy for some as it is for others, but if someone has the Units and wants to hit TB quicker, it's not unreasonable for them to buy it.
What is the estimated cost of an Abyss run? I dunno, I haven't done it. In fact I am planning it and gather info on how many units to gather

I'd say 2k units in stash and maybe a full stash of revives

I can’t just “go do abyss” unless I also “go retain a divorce lawyer”
Can my mini become TB with this lucrative offer? Its on 5.1 for around a year...
Nah nah nah nah

It's not a cash offer, its a unit based offer. Those are free in the game if you're willing to put the work in to get them. So no, it's not about the money like always.
