Aq map 6 - yellow jacket interaction

I was fighting yellowjacket in section 2 map 6

I used Clair versus yellowjacket and I had the idea he was power stinging me trough my block.

What interaction am I overlooking ? I don’t understand this happening

    Read yellowjackets abilities against mystics..

    Yellow jacket buff. His power sting and petrify apply on sp usage instead of actually hit you vs mystics.

    A rule of thumb is, "Never fight with class disadvantage".
    Some champions abilities don't work / work worse.
