Are War Globals necessary?

Globals encouraged diversity and helped prevent staleness, but they were also soft attacker bans in some cases.

With hard bans coming next season, globals just add unnecessary punishment for players and complication for planners. Can we get rid of them?

    Never been a fan of defender tactics. Like WnP had described it, it is a potion tax.

    Some certainly are like High Ground and Siphon. Some of the others weren't as bad. I didn't mind Stubborn. Some Flow matchups were rough.

    Protect was annoying and Bulwark and Untouchables were basically nothing nodes. Can't say any were incredibly interesting and made war any more fun though. I'm curious to see how attacker bans play out. I do find that premise far more interesting.

    I agree. With attacker bans, we don't need defender tactics. They don't do anything other than make you use more pots and just add way.more unnecessary planning onto the officers.

    Attacker bans is definitely more interesting. Even if they want to keep globals, stuff like High Ground should never be there because its just bs.

    I would agree that high ground is not a great design but I don’t mind the idea of defender tactics. I’d like to see them not give bonuses to the best defenders though, it would be better if it was used to make more ordinary defenders become decent. Like using synergies to buff champions, defender tactics to help defenders that are generally not good defenders.
