Rank down tickets are desperately needed!

I started the game back in July of 2020. Since that time, I have never seen a rank down ticket offer. I didn't even know they existed until a veteran in my Alliance shared it with me. As we progress in the contest, we fight with the champions we get and rank them because there's no choice. Now, we need the option to rethink our rosters and put our assets to the best use. Kabam, would please distribute rank down tickets. This is simple thing to do and is harmless to all.

No, for many reasons. Rank down tickets are only for rare occasions and should not be something just distributed randomly or for everything.

Rank down tickets are only given out if a champ is seriouly nerfed or has had his core functionality changed. Don't confuse it with rank up gems

One of the aspects of the game is to acquire new champs and rank them up. To do that you need to acquire rank up resources. If kabam keeps handing out rank down tickets then there really is no point in playing content like AW which give the ability to acquire rank up resources.

Nice. Haven’t seen a RDT post in ages. A post like this was long overdue.

Oh the memories of simpler times, when players threatened to quit the game if they didn’t get RDTs…

Because you can always gain more rank up materials. There’s not a finite supply. That’s how progression games work, and especially gacha progression games.

Like the other user's have said, RDT are only meant to be given when a champion gets majorly nerfed or changed

I'm pretty sure kabam came out a while back and said they won't be giving them out unless they absolutely nerf a certain champ

What would the point be in attaining any new rank up resources if you could just rank down someone and rank up someone else?

Rank down tickets were a primitive version of compensation. Support helps with accidental rank ups. Compensation now favors taking other champs up, expanding your roster rather than shifting it via rank down tickets.

They are somewhat fun, and I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t enjoy them, but I do think Kabam has largely come up with alternative solutions to that problem by and large.

If the argument you're going for is because you made a boo-boo with a rank up, that's everybody story and it's a part of the journey of anybody who plays this game. In fact the only people who've ever had a perfect roster were those who started second and or third accounts and started building new rosters with prior knowledge.

You're allowed to make mistakes when it comes to playing this game because there are plenty of opportunities to redeem that mistake and if a champion that you ranked up isn't great compared to somebody recently released, do bear in mind that unless they've already been buffed, there still a chance for them to be improved upon down the road.
