New war season - cancel enlistment?

Hi team; @Kabam Miike @Kabam Zibiit et al.

Does the announcement mean that those of us who only war in season, can cancel enlistment? The countdown is still running, so we don't want to cancel if there's a chance that it starts regardless.

I have, that's why I'm asking ;-)

I'm hoping that they kick off the season, then cancel it and we all get rewards auto generated anyway, as happens when they foreshorten AQ.

Why cancel placement? If the season does start then you place your typical in season defenders. If it's offseason, then you can place whoever.

Because a lot of us don't do 3 BG wars during off season.

It's not just the in-game message though. The Alliance Wars game mode itself has stated the season has started

If you get a chance, place defenders and cross your fingers..... Could be in line for a season of rewards for no effort if we are lucky.
