Similar to Deadpool. His brain tissue regenerates so much that he’s basically immune to psychic tampering. In some versions at least

Many of the X-Men characters have a resistance to telepathy for one contrived reason or another.

Deadpool, Gambit, Rogue, Cyclops, Sabretooth, Apocalypse, pretty much any character with telepathy(Cable, Jean etc.), and others have high resistance or immunity to telepathic powers.

If they gave every X-Men character psychic shielding based on comic lore, probably 90% of the mutant class could have that ability. It would make mutant class even more ridiculous then it already is.
