what is the official time that mcoc runs on. like is it GMT UTC or something of that sort

    They typically always state the time zone in announcements.

    It is Pacific Standard Time

    Yes, any times mentioned in game mails, forum announcements, etc, are typically listed as US Pacific time, and will have the timezone delinear for PST shown next to it.

    But if you mean “what time does it run on” as for assuming that will then correspond to everything starting at midnight in some timezone (so wanting to know what timezone that is), that is NOT how the game works. Different stuff will start at a different time of the day from other stuff (events, quests objectives, arena, AQ, AW, calendar, etc)

    So there is no “as soon as midnight strikes somewhere, I better be able to see xxxxxx in the game”.
