Monthly EQ Expiring on the 2nd Wednesday?

We normally get a new monthly EQ on the first Wednesday, so I’m a little confused. Did I miss something major?

    As far as I can tell this one was just randomly longer. Maybe because the lunar new year quest starts next week, so they didn't want a new SQ starting the same week?

    Seems like an odd reason to change the status quo on content release that is one of the core staples of the game, especially without warning… beside the timer.

    Pushing the shortest month of the year back a week would make it a 3 week EQ if March is on schedule for the first Wednesday. I’m not saying it’s not correct, but that doesn’t seem likely.

    There have been times when it hasn’t changed over on the first Wednesday, usually due to having a 5 week event instead of 4. There are usually some 5 week events spread throughout the year in order to fill out the entire year, since there are usually 52 weeks in a year, which 12 4 week events won’t cover.

    I get that, and that schedule can be accommodated while still having EQ start on the first Wednesday of the month as some months have 5 Wednesdays, ie March, June, August and November of this year. I’m just surprised we didn’t hear anything about it being pushed back.

    Anyway, I don’t mean to belabor the point. I guess it’s due to the lunar calendar event.

    It seems like it is a new thing. The side event for february also runs until the 2nd wednesday in March.

    This is correct. 4 times a year they need to have a 5 week EQ to use up the extra days otherwise we’d end up with 13 monthly quests per year

    12 months.. 12 EQs.. 12x4= 48 weeks..
    Every 4 months u get 1 month with "5 weeks" its been like this for years...

    Those would be true only if the month in question (this January) actually had 5 Wednesdays in it. But it didn’t. It would be true for 4 different months each year, just not this January this time.

    Has anyone ever tracked and seen if it is maybe something like “Wednesday following the first Monday of the month” ? This February, the first Monday is the 7th, thus Wed. following that would be the 9th (the 2nd Wed, Feb 9th). And also would match next month too (Wed March 9th, for a 4 week Feb event).
