I don't think they are releasing 7*s anytime soon, but if/when they do then I am done with the game. I have already been in a semi-retired alliance for a long time. Run AQ for glory and rank ups but no AW. I enjoy monthly EQ and side quests/special events mostly, but already struggle with staying motivated sometimes. Sick of pulling crappy 6* pulls I will never rank up or won't get buffed or have been "buffed" but still suck, or may get buffed in 2-3 more years. Furthermore, champs I have as R5 5*s I don't care to pull as 6*s most of the time, let alone rank them up even if I pull them. And on top of that they have made 6* way too difficult to awaken. If they bring in 7*s it's just too much for me given all the time I spent to get where I am already. If they do that, it's time to call it a day for good. It's been fun, but definitely would be time to quit.
What kind of “mid-tier players” have 100+ 6* champs??? I know some whales have 150+, but I think most “Endgame” and established TB players probably have more like 50-100. I would consider Cav to be more of a mid-tier, and if you can’t get to TB by the time you have 100 6* champs, you’re just trying not to.
I have 126 6*'s and I haven't gotten to TB yet.... Why? Because I really am just tired of fighting against the nodes when there's been so many issues with the game over the last couple of years.
Don’t want to see 7 stars but I’ll keep playing if they’re in the game
I think you're overestimating how many 6*s the average player has. I would count myself as somewhere above mid-tier (although nowhere near the top tier) and I have around 60. I doubt people in general are tired of 6*s.
I don't think we'll see 7*s until r5 6*s are easily obtainable. My guess is that relics and strikers act as a kind of intermediary change between r5 6*s and the release of 7*s. One of the most common complaints I've seen about r3 and now also r4 6*s is that there isn't really any content for them anyway, so there's really no point in releasing 7*s at the moment. Before that, we need content that requires us to rank up the champions we actually have - only after that would it be a wise decision to release even more powerful champions.

What issues are you talking about that have been going on for years? I am aware of the parry/dex issue, but that hasn't even been a full year (yet).
I pushed TB after the parry/dex issue started and I am by no means a top tier skilled player. It hurt, I won't lie, but not enough that it wasn't worth pushing through.
I know every person is different in what they are willing to spend (cash or saved units) on things like revives that they didn't farm for content, however, the nodes aren't bad enough that avoiding the content is needed.

Parry/Dex/LAG issues on android have been going on for a long time now. The most recent was just so pronounced Kabam couldn't deny it was happening. Kabam has said all the android issues are our individual devices in spit of showing them it was on a clean device with no 3rd party apps installed other then MCOC.
The dropped input issues where your 5th hit on a 5 hit combo is dropped, Throwing a heavy instead of a medium or light issue, alleged "no changes made to a champion" even though now they slide backwards when an evader autoevades, dex turning into just standing there or blocking ect.

And again like you said, that's for you.... for me it's not worth it.... Playing nearly since day 1 I just don't have the patience anymore.

If that's the case, then what's the point of playing at all? Not saying that to be argumentative, but I don't understand playing the game if the issues cause you such a level of frustration that you don't play the game.
I also have played since launch and this game (for good and ill) is lightyears away from what it was when it launched in so many ways.

Casual play now, I was responding agreeing with the person that said if a player like me wasn't TB it was because they didn't want to.

I'm firmly entrenched in the "it'll be years before it matters for me" so it's not that big a deal IMO.
I just want one before my son. That will really annoy him.
