Should I complete 7.4?

I saw that there's a pretty chunky completion offer. Should I grind units for 1-1.5 months just to buy it, or should I just complete 7.4. I'm nowhere near a r4 (basically just 7.2 and 7.3 exploration rewards), so I don't know if it will be worth it. I also don't know if July 4th will provide more value or something.

I am kind of in the same boat. I have slightly over half of both catalysts right now. This offer will get me to 2 of each. I have 6.5k units. But also a ton of revives saved up for completion.
Really debating to just doing some exploration of other act 7 quests and saving revives again for the final quest with 10k units in my pocket.

I want the completion rewards, but don`t want to hit myself in the head if a couple months down the line a new title comes out requiring a r4, and missing out on some nice new rewards.

Exactly. However, I don't know whether this offer is even worth it. There have been plenty of cases where the post-completion offers seemed good at the time but were devalued soon after (like the 6.1 completion rewards). I just don't know if its better to get these rewards now and progress faster or wait to buy these and get halfway to a r4.

Also I don't know what the value of a r4 is, which makes the decision even harder to make.

Just gone over it again. I think I`m going to keep saving for july 4th. Will in no way grind enough units for both offers. And will take my chances those offers give me 1 of each for all bundles and a bunch of extra rewards.
Will lose out on half of both, but will gain a lot of extra rewards.

I think, of it is an either/or question. The better bet is on the 4th of july offers.
If grinding is your only source of units.

Personally I think R4 is only really valuable for people that care about prestige, or if a new title comes out which requires it.

I just explored 7.4.1-7.4.5, so I am now weighing this decision as well. Doesn't help that I'd have to attempt one run prior to 4/23 or pay an extra 2000 units for the offer.

Currently (March/April 2022), Kabam is valuing 1.5 T6b and 1.5 T3a at 10k units, or essentially 5000 units for each.
November 2021, after unlocking the preceding bundles, you could spend 5000 units to get 22500 T3a (1/2 of T3a), or 5000 units to get 28500 T6b (1/2 of T6b).
July 2021, after unlocking the previous bundle, you could get 14250 T6b for 4000 units (1/4 of a T6b).

It is clear that this offer is worth it (you get 3 times as much compared to Thanksgiving 2021), but it is not clear if it is worth it on an individual level.

Since I don't do AW or need prestige, I am on the side of not needing an R4. At the same time, if the next progression title requires an R4, it would be a potential regret.

Since an R4 champ requires 3 T6b and 3 T3a, I'd still need at least 1 of each in addition to Bundle 1. So then the equation becomes 10k for this offer + whatever units I'd spend on Carina Challenges.

I would go ahead and do it. The offer isn’t bad, but especially if you’re still working through exploration of Act 7, I don’t think it’s necessarily worth it. If you save the units to help you explore the whole act, you’ll have a guaranteed R4 then. Also, I’m sure July 4 will have some massive deals. Just check progression of the deals through the years and you’ll see what you might be able to expect.

If you have the units now then do it (or at least until Apr 23) beyond that it will be 12k unit offer. I dont think a lot of people know this

For 10k its worth it imo..
the value of both T6B and T3A will eventually go down ofc. So depends really on your roster and where you are in game.

Unless you're swimming in units, probably not worth it for the unit offer. The completion and exploration rewards are pretty nice on their own. Use your units to explore and get the 2x R2 generic gems, 2x R3 generic gems, 1x R4 crystal, generic AG and the 6* crystals and your account will be on a new level. I went from 13m gold to 3m gold - that alone was the biggest drawback of all the new rank ups, but it hardly cost me any units at all to explore all of Act 7 - just farmed items (and not too many).

Do you really need a rank 4? To me it is mostly about prestige. The attack boost is mediocre. I prefer to focus on taking champs to rank 3.

That being said the completion offer is a good one if you are concerned with rank 4 champs. Might not pay off for a while but that’s why you invest.

I don't know if you guys saw, but I posted this 3 weeks ago (I'm almost done with exploration). I actually completed 7.4 the day I made the post, since I realized a r4 really had no value to me. I don't care about prestige at all, and I'm not even fully at the r3 meta (I only have 3 r3's, though I am sitting on an almost full stash of t5cc).

And I think the completion was the smart choice for me. I pulled a Knull and P2099 from my completion, and I ranked up both. Pulled a tech gem which was my 2nd (kinda useless for me since I don't have a Ghost or Guardian or Silver Centurion). Might end up using it on my Peni, even though I think she's pretty overrated for offense.

But thanks for your opinions, they kind of confirm my decision.

Personally, I don't think a new title is going to come out soon. AND, I think that July 4th will have much better value for these 10k units that you can farm up. I remember people hyping up the 6.1 completion offer back in the days and it lost its value after the July 4th after it. I'm suspecting that this July 4th will be the same. And since you don't care about prestige a r4 is pretty pointless. There is a minimal stats increase. Since you'll be exploring soon enough I would just recommend using the r4 gem on someone you enjoy playing and get them to the top of your profile (that's what I'll be doing).

It was worth it to me. I had 28k units and I had to take a break from my alliance because my prestige doesn't cut it for top 45 AQ. I'm hoping to get 2 R4s from 100% and get back in. But I don't think its worth it if you don't care about prestige. 10k units is a lot for what is ultimately just a short cut to a r4 that you'll get eventually.
