Black ISO Market Trades

I've generally been pleased with the trade-in value of items available in the Black ISO Market, but this one genuinely confuses me.

Is anyone actually doing these trades? It just doesn't seem like a very good value to me.
The 5% T5CC selector is 2,250 frags of a guaranteed class, at the cost of 3,600 total random frags. I guess if you're just dying to rank a champ where that's all you need, it gives a viable option, but I'd personally rather have more random frags than less of a specific class.
Then there's the T4CC crystal deal. One whole t4 cat to get 1,800 random frags in return doesn't seem great either. It could be, but the fact that you still need 15 t4 crystals to get a 6* champ from r1 to r3 makes me think this is a terrible value too.
I feel like trading in 1 t4 cat crystal in exchange for a 5% t5 selector would be a more reasonable deal. I don't think it's be game breaking at all, and a more reasonable exchange given availability of the resources.
Am I alone in thinking these are a pretty bad value by ISO Market standards?

Every deal is not for every player.
I have a TB account with 20 rank 3’s. I also have a Cav account that has 7 5/65 and 2 6-stars at rank 2. One of those accounts needs to trade 5-star shards for 6-star shards. One shouldn’t.
Early TB players should be hoarding as much t5cc as possible, dealing with random drops, and compensating with the cavalier EQ nexus and selectors from easier Carina challenges.
I’m not an endgame player by any stretch of the imagination, but I do have 2.5 mutant t5cc sitting around because I’ve already ranked Prof X, Apoc, White Mags and Emma (my TB rankup before I had better…don’t @ me)
Meanwhile, I have piles of science champs I want to rank and can’t. I’ll eventually use the 2-3 gem from 7.4 on one and use selectors to speed up a second.
Also, pro tip: if you buy the sigil on the right day, you can cash in on 3 28-day windows in your 30 days. I’m buying May 9. You also get 4 featured crystals in 30 days.
Are you implying there's a notification in-game somewhere that says "Max t4>t5 trade-in is X."
I'm not proposing they should dole out more t5 fragments. Just that what needs to be traded in seems high.
I'm fairly certain the trade-in packages prior to the update allowed you to trade t3 cats for t4 fragments. And t1a for t2a fragments. That seemed reasonable given that where you needed t2a, for example, you no longer needed t1a (taking a 5* from r3 to r4).
In the case of the t5 fragments though, you're having to give up t4 catalysts that are still required for ranking a 6* champ.
I may be overthinking it. It just seems that they tried to add appeal by providing the resource, but didn't put a great deal of thought into the value of said resource.
@op A lot of the black iso market is designed to reduce waste or provide access to more relevant resources based on progression (limited catalyst trades, shard swaps etc). Selling a t4b for t5b gets you like 200 fragments. Selling a t4cc and getting 900 is a nice one-time return if you’re t4cc-rich and need more t5cc.
The selector deal is for players who are t5cc-rich but have perhaps used up a class and have a marquee champ to still rank there.
