Quick Nexus advice

Well, I didn’t pull Scorpion from my black ISO store Cav, but did get a 6* Nexus which is obviously great. And, it is a good one! But could use some advice.
I’m leaning towards iHulk, but I do have my Miles ranked and I’ve been looking to get him duped for some time. I know he doesn’t need it for his core kit, but it does make a difference for his damage, and I do think I’d rank him to R3 and use him more often if he was awakened. That said, iHulk is definitely underrated and can be the answer to some tricky content (much like Miles can be) so I’m leaning towards picking him up.
What do you all think? Also, does iHulk need to be awakened to be fully effective?
