A KO in Battleground should be an automatic win if your opponent does not do the same, regardless of health left.

Agree with OP. One player won their fight and the other did not

I’m with you that defeating the opponent should reward extra points when the opponent does not. It’s frustrating

To be honest it doesn't matter. The scoring system is the same for everyone and if you play enough I'm sure you'll end up on the other side of this situation. Sucks when it works against you, is great when it works for you.

I feel If a player times out in a fight, the remaining health should be halved.

If you were a boxer would you rather dominate your opponent and win a unanimous decision, or knock out your opponent whilst also ending up in hospital?

    I know what I’d rather 😉

If I knock out the opponent, wouldn't you also say it was a unanimous decision that I won even if I went to the hospital?

in a mode where there are multiple parameters in determine the score or win, I don’t think a K.O should guarantee an automatic win. A lot of people will fight messy and dirty just for a K.O for a mode that is also testing your skill and knowledge of the nodes and champs.
If anything the scoring for defender health can be set to scale up as the opponent health goes down. Now the same can be said of the attacker health which will cancel each other. Doesn’t mean nothing can be done to improve the scoring system, it just doesn’t seem fair for any K.O to be automatic win.

No because a Unanimous Decision is defined as a specific thing in combat sports. just like a KO or TKO or Split Decision.

Ah I see. I don't watch a lot of boxing but I do watch some MMA every now and then. I thought I remembered that even after a KO they will say that as well but now I see that I was definitely wrong haha. I also agree with that I don't think a KO should be the determining factor to a win, but I think that rather than time remaining be the "tie breaker" that maybe health remaining be the tie breaker and only used if both KO their opponent, both get KOd or both don't finish in the time parameter. Or maybe a bonus is given for a KO the opponent. I almost don't think time remaining should be a factor. While this can be said to be the added bonus for KO an opponent, I'd rather have a flat bonus be added rather than a scaled bonus based off of time. My ideas aren't fully fleshed out and could def use more work and thought, but while I don't think KO should automatically give the win, I do think it should provide an added bonus of sorts
