This is all in the same vain of folks getting stuck at Mr. Sinister in Act6 cause they didnt have a champ to counter caustic temper along with EMP Mod, didnt they nerf that fight as a result?
Carinas challenges target players who have more or less done everything and want a challenge, there's no requirement that players automatically possess the requirements for every single challenge or have an easy path to acquire them.
Except y'know. The precedent set by Carina1. Literally feeding you Kamala and whatever else champs you needed. They could have added Gulk/Thrags/Korg as 5* to the ROL challenges as rewards and no one would have blinked.
Except, y’know, Carinas v1 also doesn’t feed you all the champs you require. None of Carinas v1 rewards grant any of the champions required for 1992-97, Oh Canada, or Inhuman Stamina. So the precedent set by Carinas v1 is you might get some of the required champs for some challenges in other challenges rewards, but not all of them.
And yes, they could have added a bunch of 5* champs as rewards and no one would have complained, but that, y’know, says nothing. The point to making challenging content is not to make sure no one complains about it.

Except, y'know, you didn't need to get all the champs mentioned for 1992-97, oh Canada or inhuman stamina. If you had only 2 of them you could as well get it done with just the 2 of them.

I see. So the precedent you are asserting is if you only need some of them the game doesn’t have to give you any of them, but if you need all of them the game has to give you all of them. That’s an interesting way to look at it, and good luck with that.

Yes, cause it's unlikely you don't even have a single champion from a pool of champions. It's more likely that you don't have 1 specific champion that is absolutely necessary. Carina V1 set the precedent of giving all the champs that were absolutely necessary, namely Loki, both cyclops, Kamala khan and star lord. Don't know why carina V2 should be any different.
@DNA3000 the point you are missing is that the challenge would actually be more difficult without one of the three required champions and thus should be allowed to complete the requirements a la v1 examples you stated as well as even Sick Beast stating and/or. Such a simple change takes a Carina objective from being hypothetical impossible to ever complete to being reasonable possible just slightly more challenging.

I'm not missing that point. I'm dismissing that point. You don't get to define difficulty that way. Saying it would be "harder" if you didn't use one of the champions so you should be allowed to do that completely misses the intent of the challenge. Possessing the champions is part of the challenge.
Champion acquisition is a fundamental part of the game, and roster progress is a core part of game progress. The game is fundamentally a champion collection game. The players who dismiss it as being either a pay to win component or a trivial one compared to content progress simply haven't been paying attention to what the game actually is. If you believe the best case scenario is where players are allowed to do whatever they want with whatever they have, and the game demanding you possess something in your roster is always wrong, you're playing the wrong game.
Carinas is not there to be reasonably possible. Pursuing the requirements is part of the challenge. And when it comes to requirements like 5* champs or lower in rarity, "hypothetically impossible" is itself a hyperbolic exaggeration. It is easier for the average player to acquire the champions required than it is to acquire the skills required to complete these challenges. It just takes time.
And for those that think they shouldn't have to wait for anything, the game doesn't show a lot of sympathy towards impatient people. It monetizes them. And I'm fine with that.
That stinks for you. But it’s part of the game! Better do some content
All content %100 done, 200k shards spent on mutant skill and 6-star crystals as well. Yes, I should do content or use my credit card until I pull 5 or 6-star Korg. Makes sense.

I am poor.
