I haven't done story mode in FOREVER since getting Cavalier which is the new Proven apparently but let's give TBs the best stuff... They don't need it but that makes perfect sense
I'll stay Cav and keep my money
=============
Like, why does anyone think the OP would show this calendar and then all of a sudden Kabam will see their post on the forums and take the calendar away from them.... I think that's one of the stupidest things I've ever read on here yet
As the in-game message tied to this calendar said, this is to help Summoners push further or to re-engage with content that they may have been having trouble with.
As you all know, from time to time, we will make different offers available to different players at different times, and have done the same for Gifts.
While we’ve never done anything like this with a Calendar before, we felt that this would be a good time to give this a try.
These kinds of campaigns are industry standard, and our goal here is to re-engage Summoners that haven’t been active in the Battlerealm lately and to bring them back into the Contest.
We hope this extra insight will lend some understanding to why we run these offers and gifts from time to time, and what their intent is.
I haven't done an actual fight in this game in like a month, what's your limit before the calendar shows?
I’m genuinely struggling to accept this in all honesty.
The reasoning behind it has some form of merit, but the logic, the fairness, and the deceiving nature in which all this is coming to light just doesn’t sit right with me.
Those rewards are fantastic purely for sitting back and not playing the game for a while. It really does say a big screw you to those of us who log in and grind every day.
So, if you stop to play since game is broken, parry doesn’t works, modders are taking over the battleground, you receive a “prize”, but, if you keep playing and just highlight that something is not working fine, you are told not to play. Well done.
This feels like kabam spitting in the face of daily players saying your loyalty is meaningless to them
This might be the most dramatic post I’ve ever seen. Spitting in the face? Is that what Thronebreakers claim instead of slapping in the face? Seriously that’s such an over the top way to describe a game.
Firstly, the calendar is not that good. For a thronebreaker player, 1 6* can be achieved 2 or 3 times a month across the game at least. So essentially once every two weeks or less.
Secondly, people are acting like these calendars are guaranteed if you don’t play for a week so somehow it’s unfair on people who actually play the game. That is really not the case, I have 5 or 6 accounts on different emails that I don’t play at all anymore, some I started and never finished, some to grind units on. None of them got it, so it’s definitely not guaranteed.
Are you going to log out for a week to try and get it? No? Then maybe you’re just jealous that others get rewards and you don’t. You’re forgetting that this is a normal thing that happens in the game, and MCOC needs players to thrive. I don’t care if these calendars are sent out, if they keep people playing then I’m fine with it! And if those rewards are in line with what you can typically earn, then I’m fine with that too! A week not logging in, then a week logging in means you could only do that twice a month at max and that’s assuming the calendar is even repeatable.
If you have to choose between 2 6* crystals and a small amount of cats, or a full month playing the game, which are you choosing? If you choose the 2 6* crystals you really don’t know how many rewards you get from playing.
Not to mention that you could spend 6 months (the amount of time since I’ve logged into my accounts) not logging in trying to exploit this, and just not get a calendar. Wasting your time and realising it’s better to just play the game.
Take a step back and realise that you’ve described a free calendar for a small amount of people, that cannot be guaranteed by logging out for a week, that has less rewards you can get by playing the game as being spat in your face.

I actually agree that is a good idea to have something for returning players. Most games do have the same mechanic to entice them back in. I think the issue is that the rewards for playing the game regularly are so dated that actually if people are going to get this calendar for not playing it might make more sense for them to stop playing and take a break until they can get this. The solution is to buff the rewards in the EQ and SQ preferably add a new TB difficultly and create a TB crystal that you can get 2000 shards via logging in for 7 days.

Wouldn't it be better to give that calendar to everyone. As a daily active player I'd notice this calendar and tell the people who took breakes or quit "hey, look what you get, when you come back" and then they'll possibly come back. Why should someone who quit or takes a break get notice of this calendar when you only give it to those who can't see the calendar because they aren't daily active?
Doesn't make sense. The community is strong and linked up well. Give the calendar to everyone and we will tell the people to come back and have fun with the game again...

You really are confusing the word Jealousy with Candor and Integrity.
It's not the end of the world, and your over exaggeration of how dramatic the post you quoted is, doesn't stray too far from the truth.
However, whichever words or way you wish to describe this situation, the fact of the matter is it has upset / annoyed many players of the game. As this is a forum for players to contribute and share their thoughts, I don't see how anyone can come on here and tell people that the way they are feeling is wrong. And that feeling stems purely from the way this has been implemented, communicated, and quite frankly defies logic that people are getting a good set of rewards for doing nothing.
This 1 week of calendar is better than last 2 month of SQ .
You are giving this calendar to attract less playing summoners but did you find out exactly why they play less ? What about those who grind daily ?
This scenario reminds me of company policies where a company will spend millions to train new hires but won't spend the same amount on existing employees and this is why people leave.

The post you mentioned has nothing to do with thronebreaker or paragon. Not sure why you had to bring progression level here. Are you trying to be funny? Or as you mention over the top in your response to someone?

He said thronebreaker because both of the posts regarding this were for thronebreakers. So it is assumed this is a thronebreaker "please come back" calanader only, nothing less.
Are we all looking at the same calendar here? To me it’s nothing really special and if I were a thronebreaker who stopped playing it would maybe be just about enough to maybe bring me back for that week to get a 6 star crystal that’s ultimately gonna turn out to be a captain America classic and I’ll quit again.
Ultimately I don’t see how this hurts to try and get players back that have lost the spark for playing
If I disliked the game to the point where I wouldn't login for months, I doubt a six star would be enough incentive for me to play again.

They may not have stopped because they disliked it. I have several games I get bored of and uninstall and then reinstall for events or such
Definitely its for a whale account. I can quit the game for 30 years and I won't get this calender when I log back in 2050. Ahh, would be nice to get it. But then again it's how kabam run their game. I got an ultimate crystals few months ago as a free gift. Im thankful for the 110 4* shards and 2 5k bricks of iso. I don't mind them doing these things
This is no different than if you cancel a subscription to something and then 4 months later get an amazing offer to rejoin. Meanwhile the people who have stayed pay full price.
This is how business is done. The fact that most of you (it seems) have never experienced this in real life before is mind blowing to me.
This is how business is done. The fact that most of you (it seems) have never experienced this in real life before is mind blowing to me.
I personally have never experienced this because I don't do subscriptions.not because i choose not to but because i rarely encounter them
It's common sub practice. The most recent I see is like seriesxfm or however you spell it. I cancelled that and a few month later they offered me a discounted sub to come back. Or like when you threatened to go to another cable provider and they try to offer you a deal to stay at a lower price...which I need to attempt soon
The difference with the subscription analogy (above), and services like cable/WiFi, XmSirius, AAA & AARP, etc... is that when they offer their customers offers like this, it basically occurs in a vacuum. The great majority of those customers are not checking-in daily with YouTube content creators, forums, Reddit and learning what deals others that dropped the service are getting. And those that are getting such deals aren't rushing to share with the world.
And even if I'm wrong about this - those are pay monthly or annually to get your service deals, not spending hours to earn. So even if I heard my neighbor got his service for half price because he left, I wouldn't be upset. By the way - if I called a service provider and threatened to cancel unless I got the same deal, they'd offer it.
We're a vocal bunch and we share everything. So when Kabam gives some players a special calendar, offer, whatever, they might as well tell the rest of us what we're not getting. Because we always find out anyway, we're never happy about it, and Kabam never comes out of it looking good.

I completely understand why you would do this. It is a good thing to reinvigorate interest in the game for those that may have lost it. BUT, why not do something like this for those that have been loyal and stuck with you through all of the hard times and issues with the game? Seems counterintuitive to reward those that gave up on you while ignoring those that did not. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for listening.

And they have already said when the issues began that once they fix them well get a large compensation. Plus we usually get an annual summoner appreciation calendar that lasts 3 months over the summer. So not sure why you think they don't treat loyal people better?

It’s called summoners appreciation and it’s an yearly event
@Demonzfyre may disagree. They kept screaming at every post that the summoner camp event was not summoner appreciation event last year 🙃
Wow this is amazing...the game preached on the balance of the community and a group of players free stuff.. Meanwhile u have other people spending money and resources to get items... Whoever had this horrible idea, rewarding people that couldn't progress, is giving a HUGE finger to the rest of the players. Well done...smh

Curious could something like be considered for Cavalier players? Something like this from time to time for all players (varying based on progression) would be a nice way for Kabam to help the community whom they serve who is suffering in various degrees.
