Completely understand this is a beta, however how has the victor been decided in this battle?

It’s decided through the next decimal that do not appear in the health remaining.
Your defenders remaining health might be a number like 86.39% while your opponents is a number like 86.43%. They will still appear both as 86.4% but they 12 PTS difference shows that you had exactly 0.04% difference. Each 0.01% is 3 points as long as 100% gives 30000 points.
