Act 6 is still hard

Act 6 nerf, pff right. There are no real changes outside the champion boss fight and removing some gates. Enemy attack values are practically the same and in many cases the health pools are even larger. To be clear, I’m already thronebreaker and I initially cleared and 100% some chapters with 5* r5s pre “nerf”, now I’m going back post “nerf” with 6* r3s and still getting ko’d in a single combo or special attack. It’s honestly ridiculous. This is a fighting game that doesn’t allow you to have a real fight and exchange blows with the opponent. Basically you can’t make mistakes, can’t get hit and have to play flawlessly for the win. It’s a joke. IMO the single biggest problem with this game has always been the outrageous champion boosts given to the defenders. The challenge should come from the nodes and using proper counter champs, not from broken attack/heath values. I really hope Kabam reevaluates and readjusts All act 6 fights for the better of the entire player base. It’s about quality of life and the greater majority or players want better than what Kabam is delivering!

Bro you are complaining with r3s 😶😶😶😶 I did Carina challenge with 5 star r4s.
Yes 6.1 is harder than before due to attack and hp values. But real wins came from 6.2. (especially 6.2.5) those class gates+ rarity gates+ Global nodes +BS defender nodes with most annoying defenders was the problem.
That's best thing happened since act 6 cams. No gates+ 2 energy per tile is best thing I can ask in Act 6. surely some work on some fights is appreciated but except those it's fine as of now.
So, if YOU have done with 5* r4, then other 200.000 players should be able to do it 😆
Any other challenges YOU have done and we need to know, I just want an update 🤔🤔🤔
I have done vol 2 act 6 challenges.
TBH if someone got good roster in terms of diversity, they can do act 6 with help of items (items are in game for a reason )
It was 6.2.5 which was worse for me due some defenders with really BS nodes gated behind rarity and class gates. Rest of act 6 isn't that brutal like 6.2(due to my experience, 6.2 is hardest for me)

It was never meant to be easy..

Don't think anyone said it was supposed to be, but what's a definition of a nerf?

    nerf
To weaken or make less dangerous. Taken from the "Nerf" brand name, which makes sports equipment toys out of a soft foam (e.g., the Nerf football is soft foam rather than the hard leather of a real football). Used frequently in the context of computer game balance changes.

And did the attack values become more forgiving? No, not really - only on the bosses. They increase quite a bit on the paths in many cases + the increased health pools.

This is another case of a player base being setup for one thing, and another reality actually occurring. There really isn't any new motivation for people who didn't want to do this in the first place to go back and do it now. Maybe some, but overall, nope, not really. I've done everything in game but ACT 6 exploration and Abyss exploration. Both are way too time consuming for me and not really worth the effort as an existing TB who is nearing Paragon. Now, those who haven't achieved Cavalier are likely to have a harder time on the paths than before. Personally, along with many others, think the NERF is pretty much a bust if the intention was to get more people to 1) become Cavalier and on their way to TB and Paragon down the road and/or 2) get existing Cavalier/TB to want to go back and explore Act 6 when most of the same things that made ACT 6 unappealing, still exist.

5k attack rating still forgiving imo...

Also nobody deserves anything extra for beating old act 6 unless you did it item less. Anyone could farm or just buy healths and revives and easily get it done that way. That’s not deserving of any kind of title or compensation. I love hearing all these wacked out players trying to claim some sort of honor or prestige when none of them beat anything one shot or itemless.

Apparently you have not seen Brian Grant’s Act 6 itemless videos. You should check them out on YouTube, some of them are very good watches. And many of the best players in the world were able to go through the original content near itemless even before the first nerf, it was possible if your skill was high enough. Except maybe for that mysterio fight, that one was just brutal. I do agree that no compensation is needed though. If you beat that content when first released then the rewards were much more groundbreaking than they are now, that is reward enough for clearing content when it first drops IMO.

You use that word disproves. I do not believe it means what you think it means.

technically it depends... If the attack bonuses were lowered, but the base attack was raised... then you would have to do some math to know the net effect.

I'm not saying people are wrong... but you need to look at all the information. Otherwise... you have biased information like how "4 out of 5 dentists prefer XYZ brand toothpaste". That may be true, but if I then found 95 more dentists, and only 4 more recommended it... saying "8 out of 100" recommend it isn't a ringing endorsement.... and that to may not be sufficient information to draw any conclusions / may not be a statistically significant sampling because you don't know how the 5 or 95 doctors were selected.

Alright, I took a gander before and after the nerf.
So lets go through point by point.
From what I've seen, the peasant gates are gone (THANK GOD), there's choice nodes, and the energy has been reduced.
The infamous Champion boss is much easier and basically a shell of its former self, as well as the painful link nodes being replaced with easier to manage nodes.
So in those regards, its much easier.
However, on the polar opposite, the earlier chapters' power index took a massive increase.
For comparison, 6.1.1 before this nerf, the average champion had from 20k pi to 25kpi, but now that has been shot up to over 30k pi to 35ki pi. The boss's pi gone down on the contrary.
It really depends on your view of the nerf.
For me, seeing the increase in pi puts me off from exploring Act 6, but the other changes are definitely a nerf in comparison to what it was before, mainly with the gates being axed.

I'm confused by the announcement's description on removing rarity gates.

On the 1st line it says that 6.2 is accessible to 5 and 6 stars only. I assume that's describing what it was previously because the last line goes on to say all rarity gates are removed.

Yet when I go to any quest in 6.2, it remains gated to 5 and 6 star champions.

Am I missing something here, or is this change not working as intended?

I think that by "rarity gates" they meant those gates that say "have a certain number of this rarity champs to pass it"

Act 6 is still gated to 5 and 6 star champs as that's basically its way of saying "you can't use 4* champs and below"

Oh, right. There was some gate where we had to use a certain number of 6*'s. I had completely forgotten about that. Thanks for the clarification.

Noticed the drop in values for bosses and defenders, but still the same difficulty level, not worth it, love the new quests and the new champions, but act 6 is still painful

We’re expecting it to be walking through a park easy after the nerf?

Also check put this little gem of a node combination, you need a poison immune science champ with an ACTIVE fury buff..against a champion who has a 85% nullification rate..

What a frustrating set of nodes in Act 6

If I’m not mistaken OG Hulk has a synergy that make him nullify immune.
Also, any nullify immune champ (Thing etc.) with Angela Magik Heimdal synergy can take this fight.
I had done this fight with a pre buff Angela, that I had max sig specially for this.
    Good old Act6 times 😂

Fury will get nullified. Easier to just use Overseer now. Posion/nullify immune and even gets his own fury.

Doesn't get nullified if you have sig ability

It'll be interesting to see if the people who were roadblocked by the previous version of Act 6 complain about the difficulty of Act 7 when they get there. No one complained about the difficulty of Act 7 lol (except the Beta version).
