I like the idea of champs that can specialize so to speak, which I think all the champ this year would apply. The game has over 200 champs right now and honestly its way more fun to bring in a deep cut champ that can do a specific thing for a path or fight than it is to bring the same five for every piece of content. That's why I like cav eq so much, you get to play around with your roster some and can get rewarded for it. Champs that fill a niche or add a unique mechanic/take on a mechanic keep the game fresh imo and thats a very good thing for a game that's seven years old now
Not every Champion is going to be Beyond god tier and not every Beyond god tier Champion was so beloved upon release. You go back in time and you're going to see criticisms about Apocalypse, Corvus Glaive, Doctor Doom, there was even criticisms about Hercules and Cosmic Ghost Rider. Time and perspective are the true judges of whether Champion is good or not.
That’s very true. The most memorable champ that happened, was Doom. First month of release, the forums were flooded with posts about how disappointing he was. Time proved community’s first impression wrong. Before claiming how good or bad a champ is, you need to give that champ time to prove his value and ourselves time to minimize the chances of misjudge. In my opinion, 2022 champs are quite good so far.
Other than Toad that I want to collect bc I freaking love mutant. None of the 2022 champs so far makes me drool like Kitty used to when she was released. I don't think they add anything to my roster.

2022 has arguably been one of the better years in terms of new champ releases
