I quit the game a week ago and whenever I want to get back I just visit forums before downloading the game and my choice got justified all times so far, lol
So as we all know Kabam has added these things called "Champion Attributes" which they used to rank the champions. Someone on Reddit (not me) made a tierlist ranking the champions by these systems. Some champions are in obvious spots but some are just weird to me. Mysterio as good as CGR? Rjino two tiers above Hela? Joe Fixit above She Hulk?
What do you guys think?
If you can rather put Drax in the middle of cyclopes then I am fine with the list
The list has the same problem as all other lists that exist for the rating of MCOC champs: are we talking about offensive or defensive, are these champs awake or not, with or without synergies, what match setup are we talking about we from?
I love Magneto and think he's one of the best champs ever. But if you're fighting aganist a non-metal champ, the world looks very different and you quickly find other champs that you'd rather use in that case. This means that at the end of every evaluation of such lists you always come to the conclusion: it depends on...
They could easily put together a tier list based on nexus selections.
This is genius. This is a metric I would love to see, but only for six star nexuses, don't care about anything below.
Law of large numbers would help throw out outliers from whales or players that avoid a certain class because they are already stocked, for example. It's a form of conjoint analysis. It could even help you evaluate whether or not awakenings are valuable.

Since this is Kabam's list I assume it is without synergy (as it should be, you can't judge a champ based on how strong they are if boosted by others) and awakened. Also Kabam judges it on their own for all matchups. However I think aside from poison specific matchups Mysterio is never gonna be a better pick than Hercules.
I think it averages out pretty well but if you look into each and every champion then you'll definitely find weird outliers. Obviously it does not take personal preference into account either. Personally, King Groot is one of my most-valued champions and someone I bring with me into almost any content I play because he just can't die at high sig. I value him far above a lot of better champions, even when we as a community are generally pretty much in agreement with Kabam's sorting. His sustainability allows me to compensate for his lack of massive damage (or at least massive immediate damage since he ramps up nicely), and I can then use him to absolutely wreck #robot champions whenever they pop up. That places him in the top for me.
Similarly, I would never rank Red Magneto as the overall #1 champion in the game. He deals really well with a certain subsection of the champions in the game and I love to have just pulled a 6* version of him, but #1? No, absolutely not.
It is what it is. I doubt that this was the intention behind the point structure so I don't really put too much stock into it. To me, it's a system that allows you to immediately see "Ah, this champion is really hard to play but has massive damage potential even if he's a worthless defender" or "Ah, here we have an easy-to-use champion that is a great defender but lacks the utility for endgame content". I don't know if the system accomplishes that since I've never read through all of the champion stats, but that is how I would use it if I were ever to use it.
Ugh, c'mon people. Don't just believe every post you read.
Is anyone even considering what criteria the "Someone on Reddit" used to get these numbers?
The "Champion Attributes" contains 5 attributes: 1) Survivability 2) Damage 3) Ease Of Use 4) Utility 5) Defender Strength
How many of the above attributes are you using to determine the rankings for a Tier List? Do you consider "Ease Of Use" when determining the best Champions in the game? Do you really want a list that factors in both offense and defense proficiency, or do you want those on different Tier Lists?
I'm not saying people won't still hate the numbers and order of the Champion Attributes Tier List when it's done to reflect typical Tier List considerations. And I think compiling a Tier List based on Kabam's Champion Attributes is a very good idea. But at least get to the right list. With the right attributes, numbers, and order.
Doctor Doom Champion Attributes: https://playcontestofchampions.com/news/champion-spotlight-doctor-doom/ 1) Survivability..................................4 2) Damage........................................3 3) Ease Of Use..................................4 4) Utility.............................................5 5) Defender Strength........................4.5
Most Tier Lists are about offensive power levels. They would arguably be factoring in "Survivability", "Damage", and "Utility" (maybe even weighting each). The attribute of "Ease Of Use" is sometimes mentioned in a Tier List, but it typically doesn't seem to impact the actual rankings. The attribute "Defender Strength" is usually only considered in a Tier List for defenders, and such a list would typically not include any of the other attributes, because an AI defender would not be accessing them at those numbers.
So, For Ghost vs. Doctor Doom in an Offensive Tier List we would factor in the following:
Ghost Champion Attributes: A) Survivability..................................4.5 Damage........................................5 C) Utility.............................................5 =============================== Total Points.......................................14.5
Doctor Doom Champion Attributes: A) Survivability..................................4 Damage........................................3 C) Utility.............................................5 =============================== Total Points.......................................12
Which gives Ghost 14.5 (14.5 out of 15 = 97%), and gives Doctor Doom 12 (12 out of 15 = 80%).
Magneto Champion Attributes: https://playcontestofchampions.com/news/champion-spotlight-magneto/ A) Survivability..................................5 Damage........................................5 C) Utility.............................................5 =============================== Total Points.......................................15
Kingpin Champion Attributes: https://playcontestofchampions.com/news/champion-spotlight-kingpin/ A) Survivability..................................4.5 Damage........................................4.5 C) Utility.............................................4 =============================== Total Points.......................................13
Hercules Champion Attributes: https://playcontestofchampions.com/news/champion-spotlight-hercules/ A) Survivability..................................4.5 Damage........................................5 C) Utility.............................................3 =============================== Total Points.......................................12.5
Quake Champion Attributes: https://playcontestofchampions.com/news/champion-spotlight-quake/ A) Survivability..................................4.5 Damage........................................2 C) Utility.............................................5 =============================== Total Points.......................................11.5

Nick Fury Champion Attributes: https://playcontestofchampions.com/news/champion-spotlight-nick-fury/ A) Survivability..................................3.5 Damage........................................5 C) Utility.............................................5 =============================== Total Points.......................................13.5
Champion Attributes - Offensive Tier List (Survivability, Damage, Utility) ================================= Magneto............................................15................................100% Ghost.................................................14.5...............................97% Nick Fury...........................................13.5................................90% Kingpin..............................................13...................................87% Kitty Pryde........................................13...................................87% Apocalypse.......................................12.5...............................83% Hercules............................................12.5...............................83% Doctor Doom....................................12...................................80% Quake................................................11.5................................77%

Everyone else is 8.5 and lower.
