AQ Apoc genetic code vs mutant drone

Any idea why Apoc does not get +2 genetic code from fighting a mutant drone in AQ? Happened to me yesterday on IPhone running latest iOS and up to date MCoC.

Abilities say he does not gain +1 code for knocking out a robot, but there’s nothing that should prevent the +2 at start of a fight against a mutant (robot or otherwise)

Has it always been that way in AQ when series rotation uses Ultron Drones for the drone type ?
@Viju had a post earlier today as well, but don’t recall other prior mentions of this.

The logic of not gaining charge when killing a Robot is probably also extended to not gaining the 2 charges at beginning of a fight against a Robot too (even though the robot is a mutant class, even though doesn’t specifically say that).

Because there aren’t any other types of Mutant Robots except for Drones (which have to be 1 of every class), champ ability profiles might not spell out in detail odd cases specifically pertaining to drones.

I believe it has always been that way. This is from the spotlight saying he gets no charge from robots because it basically has to be someone with genetic code and robots don't have DNA. This gets brought up all the time and it would really be a good idea, and an easy thing, to add an additional line to his in game description specifying this so people aren't confused about it.

As you said, it is an issue in almost hardly any cases because of the lack of other mutant robots, but it would still help to clear it up for people who somewhat reasonably think he might get the 2 charges at start even though it is a robot.

There are a number of champs not functioning correctly in aqs. Since they "updated" and made maps 5 and 6 more difficult, we got an extra bonus in the form of lost/malfunctioning abilities from a number of different champs.
Between war and aq i got 29 guys who are nearly to the point of not playing at all.
Players who were playing multiple times daily, literally for years, are not logging in to play at all!
Really? Bots immune to every possible debuff??? Such fun! Bleed and poison are obvious, but incinerate and deterioration? As far as aqs are concerned apoc is just one of many "not working as intended" champs in aqs.
